Mechanical and organic solidarity
Mechanical solidarity can be defined as social integration of individuals where society
have common values and beliefs. On the other hand, if it is talked about organic solidarity then
it is said to be a social integration where rise in need of one another’s services as well as
individuals can easily be seen. Away with this, rise in mechanical solidarity means social world’s
perceptions, beliefs and common values are improving (Gubanov and Gubanov, 2018). On the

as first thing that we want early morning is newspaper. Mass media like television, newspaper,

what is happening in the world. Not everyone gets direct information of the events arising, its
media that makes the world aware. People believe what they see as they are dependent on media
for the information so what is shown, people believe. The news sometimes is shown to divert the
public and media has the power to manipulate things. It depends on person to get access to right
information. As media is the path through which people get information about everything
(Schneider, 2016).
Newspapers are important source for political information. UK has many newspaper
titles, different radio and television channels. The newspapers are printed according to the laws
of land. During elections it is clearly stated about the party they are supporting or are in favour of
to get the votes. Many debates have been broadcast involving the debates by leaders of political
parties and their analysis is also shown which helps people to make their minds and decide.
These debates create impact upon the result of elections. With the growth of internet inaccurate
information is also communicated as people can post what they want to. One should check the
reliability of data before reading. But with internet political parties have got direct connection

with voters and can get their opinions. Citizens should get the information required by them at
low or no cost also there should be transparency of information so that truth and facts could be
taken out. At the time of elections, the electorates should be shown accurately.
Due to globalisation the trade relations have improved and enhanced this is possible due
to a mass media. Nowadays people are able to communicate with each other easily over social
media which has helped business to arrange the meetings online otherwise which were to be
done by going at the place. Also these platforms allow business to advertise their product as most
of the people now a days use social media and are persuade after watching advertisement on
YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and many more (Wu and Huang, 2019). People learn a
lot through advertisement as they come to know about new products or service launched or any
new thing that occurred. Small children don't understand the strategies of sales; they just want
the product that is been advertised. Social media has changed the way of living it not only helps
businesses to grow but has become a medium through which people communicate. Increase in
social media platforms help people to be in touch with the relatives not living nearby.
Different people spent their time watching television. It also depends on what you are
watching as the programmes can have positive as well as negative impact. Television influence
children and today children are watching more television compared to past years. Television can
also be a good teacher if used accordingly as there are sources which help children to learn. It is
tendency of children that they learn more through watching than through reading and studying.
Movies also create impact in mind of people they start creating a world of imagination and start
relating themselves with some character. This may have both positive as well as negative impact.
If it is talked about political news television and radio are different from newspapers as more fair
and balanced news are expected by law in newspapers. Facts are given on television channels
and political leaders are allowed to speak on important issues. It also depends on journalist
professionalism to create a healthy media platform (Shestopal and Smulkina, 2018).
Media is also a source of entertainment, imagine entertainment without media it would be
difficult presently public only sit in front of television and look at sports, movie or any comedy
show that is entertaining. Some people find sports as more fascinating. One can watch sports
anywhere on mobile and also people prefer watching series whenever they get bored. This is how
media is becoming so essential in today's world. Media is so powerful in today's world as it can

prove innocent guilty and guilty innocent (Joshi, 2020). Media is an important tool and should be
used effectively, to get the correct and reliable information.
