1SOCIALIZATION
Socialization is an important word for the people of the social worlds, and it is often said
that the social groups often are considered to be the first agent of the socialization process
(Vauquline 2015). This mainly includes the family, peer groups and Workplace. People first and
foremost usually learn the usage of the tangible object in the material culture and in the setting
and is being usually introduced to the value of the society (Kallio 2014).
Socialization of an individual starts at a very early stage in the life of the child, and the
main influences that a person usually get are from the family, peers, Workplace, the media which
all the people are interested. In the study, the sociologist usually follows a life of selected few
foes every seven years. The journey starts in 1964 when these people are of seven years of age.
The children are chosen the participants in the study which basis is of British origin. The basis of
the choosing of the subject was the various social-economic backgrounds, and it is formed the
evidence on the belief that a person social class along with the gender influences the gender and
the future.
At present, one of the participant age is 56 years, whose name is Symon Basterfiled, who
is one of the participants. The ethnicity of the participant is the mixed male race who grew in the
Orphanage without the love and care of his parents around him. The classes he belongs to was
lower class, and therefore, the upbringing he received was lower-class upbringing. The
experience he got was prejudice and most of the people which was based on the social classes
and the gender he too was expected to behave in a certain and particular way in the society he
was living in. Peers, Workplace along with the family also influenced the socialization, and these
factors actually made him the thing he is today (Terziev 2017).

did not have his family beside him, he was not able to receive the family and the teaching. It
should be noted here that the basic cause for the socialization is actually family which was not
present in the vase of this individual. Family is the prime means of the process of the
socialization, and instead, these people were considered to have alternative measures which were
received from the caretakers as well as the Orphanage and the peer. Family can be considered as
the first agent in the process of the socialization (Lozano-Posso and Urbano 2017). The mothers,
fathers along with the sibling and the grandparents are usually considered. However, it must be
noted that the families do not socialize with the children in the vacuum. There is a different
social factor as well, which affect the family raises as well as the children.
Gender and class, as seen in the above discussion, plays an important role in the process
of the socialization. There are certain norms which are written or unwritten and play an
important role in the process of the socialization.
