Microaggression is generally defined as the form of daily verbal behavioural activities
which communicate any forms of hostility or derogatory or insults towards the people
belonging to a particular culture or the people belonging to a particular group. This form of
microaggression sometimes leads to racism as the people complain they have been insulted
on the basis of their caste, creed or ethnicity. Therefore, it can be said that the microaggresion
is indeed one of the serious problems which the world has ever faced. Therefore, it is
important for the humans to find a solution to the problem so that it can be solved.
The purpose of this essay is to determine the arguments that the authors are
making about microaggression and its impact on the society itself.
Microaggresion is such a serious issue in the world in the current times that it had
forced several experts who have faced the issue personally to speak on the issue itself. The
readers find that the authors like Henri Louis Gates Jr., Gloria Anzaldua and Judith Ortiz
Cofer are the authors who have personally experiences microaggression in their lives and
talked about the subject matter in their articles. Gloria Anzaldua, in her article, talks about the
problem which she had to face as she herself was not American. This meant she had to learn
proper English to be accepted as an American, which also made her a traitor for other Latin
people in the country itself (Nadal, 2017).
Similarly, Henri Louis Gates Jr. also spoke about the racial problems on the basis of
being black when he was arrested along with other people for the purpose of being black.
Judith Ortiz Cofer talked about being stereotyped for her Latina looks and being called by
names by the people in Ireland when she visited the country. Through their experiences, these
three authors have told the world about the problem of microaggression and the impact that
such kinds of problems can have on the people of different countries (Bostwick et. all, 2014).

The impact that macroaggressions can have on the world includes the fat that such
kinds of derogatory and hateful remarks against people belonging to a particular class or
ethnicity might lead to the problem of widespread racism in the world itself. Therefore, it is
where the authors have urged the people of the world to find a solution to the problem so that
the people can live friendly and peacefully with each other in the world itself (Nadal et.all,
2017)
From the above discussions, it can be concluded that the problem of micoaggression
is indeed serious and people are affected by it. Therefore, the best solution in this case would
be to find ways by which the problem of microaggression can be solved and the people of the
world can treat each other with mutual respect and can live alongside each other with
friendliness. It is only then, that the problem of microaggression can be fully solved by the
people of the world themselves.
