1.0 INTRODUCTION
MarraWorraWorra is a community-based corporation comprising various Aboriginal communities
(MarraWorraWorra, 2017). The aim of the corporation is to strengthen the culture of the Aboriginal society and
support their community along with creating sustainable solutions for the aboriginal population living in the
Fitzroy River Valley in Western Australia by working with the Bunuba, Wangkatjungka, Nyikina, Walmajarri
and Gooniyandi group of tribes residing in the valley.
MarraWorraWorra was incorporated in 1981 and started receiving regular funding for its operations and staff
positions from the Department of Aboriginal Affairs in 1984 (Incorporation of Marra Worra Worra, 2017).
Since then, MarraWorraWorra has grown impressively and now consists of over 100 local people working
under it.
The corporation provides many benefits for its members who are Aboriginal people living Fitzroy River Valley.
The aim of these benefits is the social upliftment of the groups and adding them with and into the mainstream
societies and culture of Australia (Marra Worra Worra, 2017). To this end, the corporation has laid down its
objectives as –
1. To help in coordination of the activities of its members as long as the activities provide for the continuance
of the corporation’s objectives (Objectives of MarraWorraWorra, 2017)
2. To provide for the medical, accountancy and various other public services to the members;
3. To support and encourage the social advancement of the members in all possible ways;
4. To help in bringing about the self-supporting capability of the members by facilitating the development of
industries and economic projects;
5. To support the education, housing, work, health services and job training of the members;
6. To help and encourage the members in managing their activities on the lands they own;

8. To help build friendship and trust between the members and people from other communities or societies;
9. To provide sincere relief in case of sickness, misfortune, suffering, helplessness, disability or distress;

2.0 BACKGROUND
MarraWorraWorra Aboriginal Corporation has a reputation for encouraging and facilitating the social
upliftment of the section of Aboriginal tribes in the Western region of Australia. MWW was established in the
Fitzroy Valley region of Australia. The organisation operates by the collaboration of the five language groups
within the communities of Gooniyandi, Nyikina, Wangkatjungka, Bunuba and Walmajarri (Marra Worra Worra
Aboriginal Corporation, 2017). MWW provides a range of facilities and services to its member base of more
than 650 such as employment, housing, accountancy, superannuation and much more. The members are
enjoying various incentives and opportunities which in turn contribute in their growth and development. Article
reveals that the membership is open to any adult of the aboriginal community living around the Fitzroy Valley

3.0 CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS
The rationale behind carrying out the present study is to provide MarraWorraWorra with the suitable strategic
framework that helps them in enhancing the membership. There are many challenges faced by the client in
achieving this purpose. One of the major challenges is to convince the target members about the objectives and
benefits of joining MarraWorraWorra. As stated by Sneath (2013, p. 143), it is very difficult to gain the trust of
people who belong from Aboriginal group. People usually associate a corporation as something which exists
only to make a profit by misleading and exploiting common folks. This notion has to be changed first by
convincing the people about the motives of the corporation.
It combined with many other challenges act as a roadblock in achieving the target by the MWW and the client.
The client therefore requires a detailed and direct strategy to convince new members to join MWW membership
by conducting a detailed study and analysis of the corporation. A market strategy is also needed to be
formulated to make the approach somewhat easier and smooth. The report also lists out the benefits and services

4.0 PURPOSE OF THE REPORT
The report has been prepared to help the team of MarraWorraWorra to convince and encourage the people of
the Aboriginal population in and around the Fitzroy Valley. Moreover, The main purposes behind conducting
the present study are to analyze or evaluate the business, market trend and financial aspects of
MarraWorraWorra. This in turn helps in developing strategic framework that enhances membership in the
corporation. The report also helps to recommend the best ways or strategies to approach the target members.
For this, the report has various studies and analysis included in it regarding the MWW Corporation.
According to Green and Haines (2015, p. 78), making a community bigger doesn’t make it a better one. There is
plenty of evidence which suggests that making a community more significant decreases the level of
participation by its members (Talò, Mannarini&Rochira, 2014, p. 1-28). It is, therefore, necessary to maintain
the interest level of all the members of the community. This report aims to achieve this too by going through the

5.0 SCOPE
The foremost objective of community is to help each other grow and advance in our life. The main intention of
starting MarraWorraWorra Aboriginal Corporation was the social upliftment and development of the various
aboriginal tribes living in and around the Fitzroy Valley. MWW, in fact, started by evolvement of some
members of the five language communities of the valley after being from their surrounding cattle stations due to
the Pastoral Award in 1969.
And even after all these years, the primary focus of MWW has remained fixed to uplift the Aboriginal people
living in the Fitzroy Valley. As per Hill, Jones & Schilling (2014, p. 213), many incentives, benefits and
services are provided by MWW to its members to achieve this objective the corporation. So, a membership of
MWW will help the community in significant ways.
Current study and its outcome will provide MarraWorraWorra with the input for decision making.
Moreover, increasing membership is one of the main motives of firm on which it is highly focused. Thus, by
getting information about market and other trends business unit would become able to come up with the sound
strategies and policy framework. By considering such aspect, it can be said that outcome of research will
provide high level of assistance to MarraWorraWorra in increasing the level of membership to a great extent.
In addition to this, current plan will also furnish information about the extent to which company is financially
