1.0 INTRODUCTION
MarraWorraWorra is a community-based corporation comprising various Aboriginal communities
(MarraWorraWorra, 2017). The aim of the corporation is to strengthen the culture of the Aboriginal society and
support their community along with creating sustainable solutions for the aboriginal population living in the
Fitzroy River Valley in Western Australia by working with the Bunuba, Wangkatjungka, Nyikina, Walmajarri

2.0 BACKGROUND
MarraWorraWorra Aboriginal Corporation has a reputation for encouraging and facilitating the social
upliftment of the section of Aboriginal tribes in the Western region of Australia. MWW was established in the
Fitzroy Valley region of Australia. The organisation operates by the collaboration of the five language groups
within the communities of Gooniyandi, Nyikina, Wangkatjungka, Bunuba and Walmajarri (Marra Worra Worra
Aboriginal Corporation, 2017). MWW provides a range of facilities and services to its member base of more

3.0 CLIENT’S REQUIREMENTS

The report has been prepared to help the team of MarraWorraWorra to convince and encourage the people of
the Aboriginal population in and around the Fitzroy Valley. Moreover, The main purposes behind conducting
the present study are to analyze or evaluate the business, market trend and financial aspects of
MarraWorraWorra. This in turn helps in developing strategic framework that enhances membership in the
corporation. The report also helps to recommend the best ways or strategies to approach the target members.
For this, the report has various studies and analysis included in it regarding the MWW Corporation.

The foremost objective of community is to help each other grow and advance in our life. The main intention of
starting MarraWorraWorra Aboriginal Corporation was the social upliftment and development of the various
aboriginal tribes living in and around the Fitzroy Valley. MWW, in fact, started by evolvement of some
members of the five language communities of the valley after being from their surrounding cattle stations due to
the Pastoral Award in 1969.
And even after all these years, the primary focus of MWW has remained fixed to uplift the Aboriginal people

services are provided by MWW to its members to achieve this objective the corporation. So, a membership of

Kimberley fell within the age group of 0 – 24 years and the unemployment rate in the region was 6.5%. The
unemployment rate is higher than any other region in Western Australia (Junankar& Kapuscinski, 2013, p.
358).
Those counted as employed in the region are mostly engaged in farming, cattle stations, tourism or mining. The
income of the population in this region is far below the national average of Australia (Allbrook, 2016).

enough for achieving the purpose. The plan has to be implemented in an organized and well-approached
manner. An informal or chaotic approach can lead to an opposite of what the corporation plans to achieve. To
carry out the strategies and plans to improve the membership based on the study and findings of the report on
both the corporation and the population targeted by it, the following recommendations can be made for the
company to implement their plans charted above.

for $522560 & $4787193 respectively. These expenses are around $1.5 million less than the expenses in the
year 2015.
By doing assessment, it has been identified that in the year of 2015 expenses of insurance, staff training,
premises cost and other expenses decreased as compared to the prior times. On the other side, in the year of
2015, expenditures related to administration, meeting, rates & taxes, travel, motor vehicle, repairs &
maintenance incline over 2014 (Annual report of Marra Worra Worra of 2015. 2017). Hence, on the basis of
expenditure analysis it can be said that firm has attained success in making control over the expenses in 2015
over the prior times. At present, there is no information as to how much the company spends on each member
on an average. But, if the total expenditure of $3.7 million and divide it by 650 members the company currently
claims to have, it can be concluded that there is the annual expenditure on each member after making various
cuts and adjustments is around $5000.
So, an increase in annual costs at the rate of $5000 per member per annum can be expected to occur. If the
company succeeds in improving the membership to 1000, this means the annual expenses of around $5 million
incurring for the company. This calculation or projection is not conclusive however since there is no concrete
info provided by the MWW regarding its expenditure patterns and there is no verifiable source available
currently to get the information.The operations costs however can be expected to increase in lesser manner are
some cuts are made in other expenditures of the corporation.

11.0 CONCLUSION
MarraWorraWorra Aboriginal Corporation has dedicated itself for the advancement of the Aboriginal
population of Fitzroy valley since its inception. The corporation provides education, housing, employment
opportunities, medical care, technological advancement, accounting and much more services to the natives of
Fitzroy area. The company was formed and is still managed and governed by the peoples from the five native
tribes of the region and so is dedicated to their cause. MWW is supported by many aid organizations and
educational institutions of the area and is financially stable to support its members.
The initiative to induct new members into the MWW faces many hurdles listed earlier in the report such as lack
of trust, lack of interest, financial restrictions, alcoholism etc. But it has been found that all these obstructions;
be it social, physiological or otherwise can be overcome by following a well-planned strategy and an organized
approach. Many studies and analysis has been conducted while preparing the report and all of the propositions
made in it take into account almost all of the internal and external factors and liabilities which can affect the
process and the corporation itself. Some of the conclusions that can be drawn from the report are –
1. A proper study about the target members is needed to be conducted including culturally inappropriate.
2. The approach for the membership has to be personal and all of the information should be provided to the
person(s) while going through the process of inducting him/her into MWW membership.
3. The members; both current and new must be treated equally to reduce the chances of mistrust and conflicts
within the organization.
4. A new festival celebrating the history, culture and notions of the native Aboriginal population can be started to
connect the various sections and communities of the area and encourage them to join the membership.

5. The new members has to be properly informed about all his rights, responsibilities, duties and the
facilities/services he is likely to receive such as electing individuals, equality and other rights etc.
It can be concluded that the MarraWorraWorra Aboriginal Corporation can achieve its goal of improving its
membership and recruit new members by following the recommendations made in this report.
