Introduction
The world of politics is highly complex, multilayered and constantly evolving.
Historians, social scientists, political scientists and economists have attempted to distinguish the
numerous types of regulations, policies and political thinking into various categories which have
been referred to on a regular basis (Cole, 2017). The high exceptional example of the
miscellaneous nature of national and global politics is the interesting argument claiming theories
that apparently counter and contradict each other. Such is a case of fascism and socialism which
have drawn significance in the world of politics.
Discussion
Equality and parity is unquestionably the crucial goal of socialism. For a reason,
socialists tend to incline towards an equal distribution of wealth as well as returns within society
(Fodor & Horn, 2015). Moreover, the rallying cry of equal opportunity has been perceived from
wide range of socialists throughout the ages. Thus, it is important to attain a comprehensive
understanding of socialism. However, such a view has been in significant disparity to liberals
and to certain degree conservatives who support the fairness of opportunity that is albeit for
slightly dissimilar reasons.
Renowned socialists such as Anthony Crosland state that all individuals have an equal
worth irrespective of their social and ethnic backgrounds. Studies of Fourie, Schuppert and
Wallimann-Helmer (2015) have noted that extensive allocation of financial resources by means
of advance taxation along with a welfare state on the basis of collective benefits as well as a
system of all-inclusive education aid individuals to successfully attain a highly justifiable and
equal social order. Drawing relevance to these factors, authors have mentioned that such a

considerable form of socialism seeks to authorize the individual from the restraints of the
capitalist system.
On the other hand, fascism as an extremist ideology, believes in a highly patriotic as well
as dictatorial single party. Mizejewski (2014) has claimed that according to the supporters of
fascism, individuals can only attain the competence to succeed if they can relentlessly combat
with other countries or within the society. For that reason, it can be opined that while socialism
aims to proceed towards social equality, fascism on the other side, accentuates on limited speech
and opinion of citizens and significant support for the government. Furthermore, socialists who
have been inclined towards the left consider that the state must serve utmost decisiveness within
the management of the financial system. Fourie, Schuppert and Wallimann-Helmer (2015) at this
juncture have claimed that through a significant level of state participation individuals can be
able to attain an egalitarian society. Moreover, democratic socialists have discarded the social
democratic disagreement that the dynamics of capitalism can be put under control and thus
humanised. Fodor and Horn (2015) have noted that capitalism has drawn severe contradictions
with the socialist goal of equality. The single collective ground between social democrats as well
as democratic socialists has been in relation to their support for the parliamentary path.
Conclusion
Hence to conclude, socialism and fascism are two important political ideas which draw
divergence from each other. It is imperative to note that, socialism contributes efficiently to the
society as collective ownership of wealth and equal social order facilitate highly equal
distribution of goods and services, thus supports a more justifiable society for all.
