Question One
Ideally, sociology has played a crucial role in shaping the current economic situation for
both men and women in society today. These women have been outplayed in the American
culture, not giving there contributing factor to society. Women are the key pillars in the societal
frameworks. They are for the fundamental unit in the family setups (Lokota, 1990). Many
sociologists have identified loopholes by writing stories which are haunting, frightening,
encouraging and courageous. These stories have circulated in the American environment giving
a more significant concept on the role of women in creating social welfare in both cultural and
political setups.
In Messengers of the Wind, (Jane, 1995), highlight that the American women have
diverse traits, regardless of their age. Women are identified to be most eloquent and with adverse
qualities in administration and passion about their experiences on the land and urban areas is
driven by their qualities (Lokota, 1990). The qualities highlighted in different perspectives show
that both mothers, grandmothers and daughters work as an artist and also healers, which are
viewed as male-dominated fields. This gives a highlight to the idea of the remarkable
contribution by the women in the economic climate in society today.
Furthermore, I learned about the situational importance of giving women power in the
working place and the social climate. The basic idea is giving women a voice in society. For
example, if a woman can articulate their ideas, especially in the societal framework, they will be
able to achieve a lot from society itself (Jane, 1995). These ideas are very new in community and
as linked with the traditional setups.

Society can be so selective in terms of evaluating the success for both men and women.
Women are valued from the societal frameworks and family contributors' basic unit in society
today is the family (Jane, 1995). Women are a fundamental contribution to society in terms of
family welfare. For example:
i. Women being associated with taking care of the family roles
ii. Men valued as the breadwinners
iii. Women considered as weak to men
iv. Women’s participation in decision making undermined
v. Women being associated with weaker courses such as teaching and men being associated
with engineering
Question 2
The political relationship between various tribes is driven by legislative powers and the
hunger for geographical independence and sustenance. American tribal communities occupy a
unique legal and historical position in the American political frameworks. Both the federal
government and tribal community have a common system about governmental management of
the community and the country (Lokota, 1990). The sovereignty in the United States is the
concept of inherent authority within the borders of the United States. The territorial governance
is granted to be organic in relationship to the federal systems. Plenary power doctrine is also
regarded as the matters affecting the both tribal and governmental systems in the United States of
America.

In the governmental sustenance for the both governances, the tribal leadership seems to
create a higher concern on the importance of the leadership clearly defining both women and
men responsibilities in the community (Lokota, 1990).
Question 3- The role of women, especially in the indigenous communities in the United States.
Without indulging to the fundamental societal concepts, many communities have
sidelined men roles with those of women. There is not set responsibilities for the women,
especially in the political systems in the governance. Despite the primitive ideas which prohibit
women from engaging in the regulatory frameworks, the current systems promote women and
leadership (Lokota, 1990). Even the indigenous communities have created women positions in
the organisational frameworks. Unlike in the past, women today are involved in leadership,
politics and power, and even full responsibility of their families when men are either present or
no there.
Question 4
The course has been very profitable in my life update; the ideal situation in the
decolonisation of women and children gives them an insight towards achieving the global
concept of gender equality. Besides the critical assumptions on creating the balance on the
gender issues protagonist are keenly evaluating the sociological perceptions in the different
countries. To achieve decolonisation in the daily life identifying the critical mindset and also in
defying and resources in an ideal to recognise when the colonial thinking is influencing an
individual mind (Jane, 1995).

The key reason for conducting research is mainly to follow up on the future effects of the
research. Findings should be anchored on the continuous assessments to validate the key ideas of
those findings (Jane, 1995). The key ideas towards successful research are to find out the long-
lasting solutions to the pending challenges in society. Therefore, I will constantly visit them to
evaluate their performance in close reference to the research findings and the anticipated
outcomes.
