The discussion will describe the chapters 1-5 of the readings obtained in the Everyday Bible
Study. The thread includes one heart idea that I loved ,two questions circling my mind, three
angles which I have never considered before and lastly the four ideas that fits the concepts of
square and they relate to my thinking (Reygan, 2016). All the concept learned in Everyday Bible
Study has been listed a shown then a description of each part as shown below;
The list of the issues to be discussed in the thread are;
Squares;
1. The nature of sin which has changed the nature of human beings.
2. The heart which is corrupted by the sin thus fearing, loving and trusting anything apart
from God.
3. Gods promise whereby God promised to meet us when rock meets the bottom-that is in
place of despair.
4. The heart of servant depicted by the heart of Christians.
The triangles.
1. Sin revealed as the worship of self and worship of problem.
2. Reason why people leave the church
3. The Christian war which is within Christians and that is won by spirit through the Gospel.

1. How Paul describes the difference between the carnal and spiritual man in his letters and
how does Luther’s understanding in Romans fit with descriptions outlined by the work of
Paul?

1. The issue of God’s grace –depicts one relationship with God the Father.
The thread from the list outlined
From the concept of squares the four things outlined above shows the concept of sin and love as
experienced in Christian. The first concept shows human nature whereby because of sin our
nature as human beings has curved upon our self. This shows what theologically was known as
sin in the Old Testament as prophesied by the Jeremiah during his ministry. In his sayings
Jeremiah said that “The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked.
Who really knows how bad it is?” (Jeremiah 17:9).In addition the other list explains the how
heart is corrupted by sin that hinders human nature from applying concept of love and trust and
at same time not obeying the words of God. God in the Bible promised to meet human beings
when in despair. This means that God will there to help human beings in case of any problem or
issue. Also, from the list above it clear that Christians love their neighbor and this is not out of
obligation but through their heart which is filled by the grace of Jesus Christ –that is the heart of
servant (Reygan, 2016).
From the concept of triangle the issue is related on how sin has been identified as the worship of
self thus creating worshiping challenges. Luther explains why people do leave the church by
saying that sin has downplayed them making them to think that they are good and righteous for
acceptance by the God (Constantineanu, 2017). Different sources shows that “Christian growth is

not primarily about sinning less. Christian growth is a war within us that is won by the Spirit
through the Gospel…”The quote proves that Christians are aware of their sins but they want to
justify their sins by saying that less sin will transform them to new life thus being accepted in by
God which is not true at all. All the three points I have never experienced before.
In addition there are letters of Paul which explains the differences between the carnal and the
spiritual man in his letters and how Luther’s teaching to romans fits his descriptions.
Consequently, the same principle applies that indicates how Luther’s work in leadership, mercy
and generosity which fits what Paul described to the new church (Buch-Hansen, 2017).
The last part of thread accounts for grace that determines holiness in Christian life (Durand,
2018). “Grace is the pronouncement of your relationship to the Father, and it has nothing to do
with whether you are a well-behaved child of the Father “The Gods grace flows through ones
heart that strengthening Christians’ relationship with God.
