RACE 1
In terms of discrimination, race is defines as concept which can be social and
biological based on the history and recent times. The idea of dividing people was not based
on their physical differences but on class, religion, language and status. The society used this
term based on every individual’s different aspect and not each and every one are considered
in the same category. For instance, people judge salves based on their class and status which
is termed as race discrimination in the society (Ramos, 2013). Race enhanced discrimination
in terms of providing rights and freedom to people. Race is also based on colour black and
white, individuals coming migrating from their country to another country; hence, race
defines inequality in the society. In other terms, differentiation is within and not based on
races, such as human populations from different sides of the globe such as Kurds, Cherokees,
Italians, or Koreans (Takezawa & Smedley, 2020). Even in today’s time, race is real in the
society as per their idea where no matter what, colour-blindness will never end this racism.
Race is above any stereotype, prejudice along with inequality where some people get
opportunities and achieve advantages by the nation, society or governments, and some do not.
People are sorted based on race including their colour, sizes, shapes, culture, politics and
others which are not consistent and same in every country. Race majorly considers the point
of diversity while exploring individuals based on different geographic traits, human migration
history, and ancestry. Also, there are different perspectives of individuals within different
eras defining racism where people face inequality based on comparing wealth and housing,
for instance, in the US (United States) (Fulwood III, 2014). There is point of view that racism
is never going to stop at some or the other place due to people’s mentality and their thinking
which affects every individual’s esteem and confidence depending on different category of
countries and societies. Thus, race is about what an individual thinks of each other based on
different aspects developed through history in this modern era.
