4. It has been seen lately that the uses of texting has been increasing largely in the recent
times in the relationships. The relationships need to go through the different times when people
tend to use the technology so they can maintain their relationship without communicating
verbally (Luo, 2014). In the nonverbal communication, the messages are sent to the concerned
person and it creates a great impact in the minds of the receiver of the message. It is quite
arguable whether the form of texting will be able to sustain the relationships.
Therefore, it is very crucial to make the direct communication with the people since eye
contact is a very useful thing for sustaining the relationships. The experts of psychology have
said that some messages might be very good but it will not cause any certain impact on the minds
of the opposite person from the behavioral approach (Luo, 2014). It should be mentioned that
texting has become one of the primary means for the act of flirting among the young people. This
might sometimes be aimed at maintaining the romantic relationships but it might not work if the
gestures and eye connections are not made perfectly.
The individuals suffer from social phobia and they want to keep the relationship to move
on within the virtual environments (Punyanunt-Carter & Wagner, 2018). This is why it has been
recorded many times that the people in relationship might hide some secrets from one another as
their relationships is basically virtual and they could face problems after their marriage where no
such virtual environments will exist.
