Software Development Project Plan

This document outlines a software development project plan, detailing the project's scope, risk mitigation strategies, and project activities. It covers the entire software development lifecycle, from idea generation to testing and documentation. The plan includes defining the project scope, securing resources, analyzing requirements, designing the software, development, testing, and documentation. Risk mitigation strategies are also discussed, addressing potential issues such as late delivery, machine failure, and employee turnover. The project activities are broken down into phases, including analysis, design, development, and testing, with a focus on ensuring a successful software development process.

Introduction
In this present paper, we will describe the new product idea in which the new software is
developed. The software development project is prepared through using Gantt chart which shows
the scope of the project, analysis of the requirements, design, development, testing, and pilot.
Project scope
The scope of the project includes the determination of project scope, secure project sponsorship,
defined preliminary resources, secure core resources and complete the scope. In the development
of software project the manager recruit human resource, software developers, financial and
market analyst. Then the computers are required for developing the software.
Risk and mitigation
There is various kind of risk which is associated with the development of software such as late in
the delivery of the project, machine failure, end of employment by an employee, actual cost of
software development is higher than the estimated budget. This risk can be mitigated through
estimating the higher budget which helps to cover the actual cost of the project. The end of
employment leads to the late delivery of the project which can be mitigated through recruiting
one extra software developer more than the requirement which does not impact by the
termination of the software developer. The risk of machine failure can be mitigated by taking
insurance of machines.

Project activities
The project activities include all the activities from idea generation till the testing of the
software. After explaining the scope, analysis of requirement is done which includes the
assessment of the current system, development of new requirements, review the requirements of
software specifications, incorporate feedback on the specification of software, develop the
delivery on the timeline, then get the approval to proceed and secure required resources. The
designing include preliminary software specifications, development of functional specifications,
incorporate feedback into functional specifications then take the approval and design are
completed. The development includes the reviewing of the functional specification, identify the
modular then assign development staff, create code and development are finished. The testing is
done to check the software through running the program. The last step is the documentation of
