Dear Madam or Sir,
With this letter, I am applying for the graduate programme for Masters in science in
Software Engineering. I always had interest in designing, developing, testing of the software and
the systems. However, I want to see myself with much knowledge as I can have in the field of
computers. I like being around computers the whole day.
Considering this programme is taught in our country Bangladesh, but I would take up my
studies in Germany because according to my research I have seen that German universities and
centres work more closely with the companies and industries on various exciting research
projects. Also, German is considered as the place where sort of technology innovation emerges.
This feature will give me the chance to see the operations of the reputed companies closely.
I started my professional career as a “Network Engineer” with Global Online Services
Ltd, an Internet Service provider company in Bangladesh. Currently, I am working with Ericsson
Libya to provide support for charging system and CBiO solutions since December 2013. Before
that, I worked with Huawei Oman for 15 months of operation and maintenance. I have also

worked in Ericsson Egypt for one year as SI and SA role and in Ericsson Bangladesh for five
years as Solution Integrator in the area of Solution Design, Development, Integration and
Support Phase. Additionally, I also worked in IBCS-Primax which is one of the largest software
companies in Bangladesh for one year. It was my most significant achievement yet as working
with this all above companies successfully, and I also enjoy working with the company at
present. However, I need to extend my knowledge in this field for which I am pursuing in your
college for software engineering course.
There was always a love of mine for mathematics which made me turn from 5th grade to
dream of becoming a software engineer which later convinced me to choose engineering in
computer science which I passed with excellent marks with putting my all efforts so that I can
earn my higher education in your respective college. From my past education and pleasant
experience in previous companies, that I have worked for, I learned team management,
understood how to cooperate situations and to adapt to changes in management. I have taken
benefit from whatever I have learned in the experience with the telecom companies as whichever
projects in any of the company I was given all have been completed successfully in a presentable
manner. My presentation skills and communication skills have helped me in many of the
situations to handle the projects. For this, I was awarded the Employee of the Month, in 2007 in
Ericsson Bangladesh Ltd. Other than that, I am a person who never fails to achieve goals, and
this not because I am overconfidence but instead I work on myself with as much of efforts
needed and being less dependable on others.
My mother who from my childhood filled me with a small message that knowledge is the
best power a man can have and with it every person can earn success adding his efforts to it.
Therefore, I believe that with my upcoming profession I can serve my home country with many

new opportunities to develop, create and evaluate safe systems to help many organizations,
banks and even the government sector of our country which will automatically contribute
towards the development of the nation. It is just that I need an opportunity from your college to
get success and knowledge in my life to use it not only for the development of the technology in
my country but to spread the knowledge to the students who are not able to gain the opportunity
to earn a higher education.
I believe indeed that Augsburg will provide me with the opportunity to become a qualified
Software engineer.
