INTRODUCTION
The legal profession in the UK has comprised of two types of lawyers called Solicitors
and Barrister. Basically, a solicitor knows as a junior lawyer, on the other side, the barrister
known as senior lawyer. According to some critics, one lawyer term is very favourable for
different customers and clients because two types of lawyers only increase expenses of people or
customers. This report discusses this same thing that, UK’s two lawyer system is favourable for
different customers and clients or just and reaped off by unwanted expensive fees. Some other
legal aspects also have been discussed in this report.

Customers getting real access to justice or simply reaped off by unwanted expensive legal fees
Currently legal system of the United Kingdom is very unique than many other countries,
because there are two types lawyers generally works in the UK’s different courts, like; solicitor
and barrister. Most people within are satisfied with this concept of lawyers, that’s why types of
lawyers are continually working in the UK’s legal system from the last many years (Goulandris,
2020). Basically, a solicitor always has it provides common legal advice and suggestion on
variety of issues. On the other side, barrister is generally a specialist in few legal fields that a
solicitor instructs on behalf of its clients for appearing in court. Both plays very excellent role in
this country’s legal. On the other side, some people of the United Kingdom are not satisfied this
with two types of lawyers. According to these people, two types of lawyers only increases
expenses of people, customers or clients, because when can person go these lawyers, then both
charges their respective fees. It means, according to these people of country one lawyer system is
the best which currently followed by most countries in all around the world. But when we deep
analyse, then we found that UK’s two types of lawyer system is something expensive, but it is
very productive in comparison of one lawyer system.
Currently most people or clients are taking huge advantages through these lawyers,
because both can provide very excellent results to each client in the legal system of this country.
Most of the time only truth wins in the UK’s legal system with the support of these two types of
lawyers. That’s why two types lawyers called solicitor and barrister are very popular in the

United Kingdom’s legal system. These lawyers are dealing with thousands of cases in the UK’s
daily legal system operations. Generally, people chosen solicitor for common and ordinary cases,
because a solicitor is enough to provide appropriate legal advice to people in this country. On the
other side, when any person wants fight a big case in a specific field, then it contacts to barrister,
because barrister is always dealing with any specific case which has based on any specific field.
There are different types of cases registers in the UK’s different courts, in which these lawyers
are the only people who provides favourable justice to different people or clients in the court
(Boon, 2016). Basically, solicitor and barrister deal with different types of case which has based
on crime, discrimination, finance issue, corporate, fraud and divorce etc. These are very common
cases in the United Kingdom’s legal system.
Generally, a solicitor fight for any ordinary cases in the court room. On the other side,
barrister fight for some specific cases in the court, because a barrister always has great
knowledge of any particular area of law. That’s why many times a solicitor also takes legal
advice from barrister to solve any case for client. Day by day legal system of the Unite Kingdom
is more developing, because every year government of the United Kingdom add some additional
acts or regulations for positively affecting its legal system. In this situation, this factor of the
UK’s legal system directly affects to solicitors and barristers also to make changes in their daily
operations. When we talk about the fees structure of solicitors and barristers, then we found that
a barrister is always charges high fees than a solicitor, because solicitors always deal with
common and ordinary cases. Only ordinary people who comes from middle and low incomes
groups are main customers or clients for a solicitor. On the other side, barrister always deal with
big cases of any big corporate company or VIP. Many times, ordinary clients and customers of
the United Kingdom can’t afford fees of a barrister.
Most barristers within the United Kingdom only participates in those cases which are
complicated in nature (Ryder and Pasculli, 2020). There are both solicitors and barristers are
highly responsible to all legal and ethical considerations in their daily operations which has
passed by the parliament of the UK to maintain an ethicalness in the legal system of the country.
There are most people within this country are completely literate, in which they completely
know value of a solicitor and value of barrister in the UK’s legal system. That’s why they always
choose lawyer according to their suitability. People know that, if any lawyer behave unethically

with its clients or other party, then government of the United Kingdom can terminate its lawyer
licence. That’s why this country has very healthy and positive legal system. With the support of
solicitor and barrister a person or a client no need to put their huge time and money for taking
justice. This is the main reason that, most people within United Kingdom are really satisfied with
concept of two types of lawyers. According to most people, of course these two types of lawyers
are something expensive, but these provides excellent results in the legal system of this country
(Miller, 2017). Currently many other counties also like this lawyer concept of the United
Kingdom.
People take services from both lawyer in the United Kingdom. For example; recently few
employees of a small coffee shop of the United Kingdom have registered their case in their near
court which has based on the employment law. Basically, this is a very ordinary case in the
United Kingdom, because many of employees register cases in their near courts against their
company or management. So, those coffee shop employees have hired a solicitor for fighting the
case again its company and management, because their upper management not gives them equal
rights in the workplace. Issue of these employees is completely valid, because many times
existing management of a company not gives equal right due to not following equality act. There
is a solicitor is enough this fight this type of cases in the court, because this is common case
within the United Kingdom which has based on equality act. So finally, one solicitor was ready
for dealing with case of those coffee shop employees (Wills, 2017). That solicitor has given them
appropriate legal advice, so at the end, those employees was able to get proper justice with the
support of solicitor.
On the other side, there are barrister also very helpful in dealing some specific cases
which relating to a specific filed. Rececntly a reputed banking company of the United Kingdom
has hired a barrister for fighting a case very unique case. Basically, many customers of that bank
were file a case against the bank by mentioning that, bank promotes fraud activities in its daily
operations. In this situation, upper management of bank said that, bank never promotes fraud
activities in its daily operations. Customers who has filed case fraud case on bank, it is just an
unethical attempt of competitors for gaining huge competitive advantage. This is really very
interesting case, so at the end bank was able to hire an experienced a barrister who has full
knowledge about how to legally deal with this type of situations (Mitsilegas and Fasoli, 2017).

That barrister was given some productive advice to its client (bank) for systematically dealing
with this case. At the end, that bank was able to get the appropriate justice with the support of
barrister. This is type of cases always solved by barristers, because there are very high
knowledge of law, standards and rules & regulation is highly required to systematically dealing
this such unique cases.
According to findings, both barriers (senior lawyers) and solicitors (junior lawyers) plays
very excellent role in the UK’s law and legal system. Government of the United Kingdom can’t
run its legal governing bodies without these two types of lawyers (Keenan and Pottage, 2017).
On the other side, most people are taking huge advantages through these two types of lawyer
system in the UK.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that United Kingdom’s two types of lawyer terms something costly
for different customers and clients, but services of solicitors and barristers are very favourable to
for people or customers. Currently people within the UK can easily take appropriate justice with
the support of both lawyers. On the other side, people of this country has chance to choose type
of layer according to their suitability, because people within other countries are not able to take
advantages through two types lawyers.
