INTRODUCTION
Grammar book entry is the branch of linguistics that deals with syntax and morphology,
sometimes also phonology and semantics. It can be defined as the way of arranging words so that
proper sentences can be formed. Grammar consists of understanding of various topic such as
adjectives, tenses, nouns, adverbs, pronouns etc. It has been analyzed that grammar related to
sentence level also includes phrases and quotations. Report will provide about how grammar
entry book can increase academic grades of students. Present report will lay emphasis on tenses
and how it is presented in pedagogical English grammar book. It will also describe concept
introduced and will provide understanding of grammar form and use.

Learning Grammar can be a very challenging experience for users who are Native English
speakers. In order to learn grammar, they can make use of pedagogical English grammar book.
One of the main thing which individuals used to learn includes tenses. This is very important for
users to learn, as it provides exact time of action which is basically been showed by verb. There
are various ways of presenting tenses in a Grammar book that can assist users in learning it. Like
for example book given by Parrott, M (2010) provides details about tenses in a synchronized
way. Initially the have provided lessons about basic tenses such as simple present, present
continuous, present perfect etc. They have explained each form of tenses by framing normal
sentences through them so that Native English speaker can have perfect idea about sentences can
be formed (Jordan, 2019). Also books like “Grammar for English language teachers” given by
Parrott, M (2010) after finishing the Chapter has also given exercises for students, so that they
can learn tenses and improve their formation of sentences.
This will assist them in gaining better marks and improvising their quality of academic
writing. Tenses also have various types of rules which is presented in book thoroughly by
presenting various examples. In spoken English most used tense is Simple present and past, so
students need to lay special focus on these basic tenses. Extra learning activities in end of the
book is also been given (Berry, 2018). Teachers can also ask students to complete that enhance
their learning. In Grammar entry information related to various types of book is also been given
with explanation, so that it become easier for students to learn about it. After explaining each
tense learning activities are also being provided so that they can know about how much they

have gained from reading explanation about various type of tenses. Some English Grammar
books also provides with CD’s in which video lessons to teach students are being provided.
Researchers has analyzed that students learn better from visual form, so CD’s can assist them in
grabbing the knowledge better. Tenses is really lengthy and can be challenging for students to
learn so they need support of their tutors who can help them in learning and support them in
enhancing their ability to frame better sentences. In order to learn tenses students should make
sure that they do not miss any lecture as tenses have many rules which needs to be learnt by
students (Watson, 2019). Techers must also be engaged in motivating students to do all learning
activities which is presented in Grammar entry book. This will help teachers in improvising
student’s way of presenting things.
Applying understanding of grammatical form, meaning and use.
Grammatical form basically means how words, phrase and clauses have been formed. Also
structure must be perfect, it is also known as syntax. Grammar book entry also provides students
and teachers to know about how to perfectly use past, present and future tenses. It is very
important for students to learn about them as it will help them in enhancing their academic
grades and also they can lay positive impression in front of anyone. As good grammar makes
oneself a better person (Alhabbash, Mahdi and Naser, 2016). In order to learn Grammar and
tenses students can also have engaged in scheduling sessions with their teachers. They can take
help from various English Grammar books. All they need to do is engaged in learning and taking
classes regularly. They also need to perform regular activities test which is given behind the
book.
Students need to have proper knowledge of all past, present and future tenses. They have to
possess knowledge related to all rules and regulations of tenses. It is presented in book with
examples at every stage of learning. First chapter in English Grammar entry book is linked with
providing students with basic forms of tenses. After they have gained thorough knowledge of it,
books give lessons on perfect tenses (Wardale, 2018). These assist students in making effective
use of words and forming better sentences.
