Some major strategies and techniques which most businesses oil companies use while
implementing and managing change are also has been included in this report.
MAIN BODY
Question 1: SSW influences the beef industry
Currently SSW is highly influencing beef industry of the New Zealand, because SSW is
of one of the finest wagyu beef producers in this country which has innovated new measures in
the beef industry of New Zealand (Welsh, 2017). Currently beef industry of this country faces
different problems and challenges which has mentioned below;
Political uncertainty: There is political uncertainty is a major problem within the New Zealand
which has always faced by those businesses or companies which sells wagyu beef in this
country. Sometimes existing government of this country takes such dictions which negatively
influence existing beef industry. On the other side, currently local government has imposed very
high taxation on this industry. That’s why top-level management SSW (southern station wagyu)
has always required to fulfil high amount of taxation to local tax collection authorities.
Vegan organisations and communities: Existing vegan organisations and communities of New
Zealand includes those people who avoid to eat non-veg food, like; beef, fish, etc. On the other
side, people who has attached within these organisations and communities are completely against
those people who sells non-veg and who eat non-veg. In this situation, these vegan communities
always run many stokes against beef industry, so this is really one big problem to this industry.

Many times vegan organisations and communities run different campaigns where they try to stop
selling of beef and sea food (Patison and et.al. 2017). That’s why each business within beef
industry has highly influenced by such action of these organisations and communities.
Animal health: Many times beef of New Zealand has faced this problem also has based on
animal health. For example; a business, like; SSW which is a part of beef industry, in which this
business has always required fresh and healthy animal to run its beef business. But, many times
animals which SSW has stored are become sick and unhealthy. In this situation, SSW can’t serve
beef of those animals in the market. Reason is, when customers eats beef of unhealthy animal,
then that beef will definitely negatively influence health of customers. This is the main reason
that, problem relating to animal health is also a big problem to this beef industry
Influences of SSW
SSW (Southern Stations of Wagyu) produces very finest beef to different customer f this
country. Currently this beef company has thelar4ge market share in the beef industry of New
Zealand, because customers really like to consume SSW’s beef. It means, this beef brand is
giving very tough competition to its competitors. SSW produces very healthy and favourable
beef for customers, in which this factor of SSW influences existing beef industry’s other
businesses for producing the finest and healthy food for customers. Currently a business within
New Zealand’s beef can’t survive in the market without serving healthy and excellent quality of
beef. SSW influences customers also within beef industry for purchasing or buying only quality
beef.
Reflection
Various businesses or companied which has involved in the beef industry of the New
Zealand always has require to produce quality beef to gain huge profit in the market (Stevens
Casey & Cousins 2016). Top-level management of SSW also need to continue producing the
finest and quality beef for customers to stays on the top position within whole beef industry of
country. On the other side, all companies within beef industry are responsible to properly adhere
and follow those rules and regulations, standards and legislations which has imposed by the
government of New Zealand on the existing beef industry. On the other side, the management of
SSW need to maintain proper health of their animals which it has stored to produce beef. With

the support of this step, company will be able provide quality beef to different customers in the
beef market.\
Question 2: Human aspects of change
When top-level management of company will implement change in its business
environment, then it should consider human aspect also in its process of implementing change.
Reason is, people or customers are one major stakeholder of this company, in which when
existing management of company will implement change, then they will be highly affected
through this change action of company. for example; currently the management of company has
planned to improve quality of its product. In this situation, people or customers will be
influenced to always purchase beef from only SSW. Of course, implement change is not a small
task for this business, it has highly required to choose some appropriate strategies to successfully
implement its change aspect within existing business environment. The change step of company
can affect to its employees as well, because they are also major stakeholders to the company
(Matthew, 2019). On the other side, top-level management of company should consider those all
people who will affect by its change process. The SSW has an effective market reputation in the
market, in which currently many people has attached within this beef business. That’s why
existing management of company has highly required to apply some productive strategies in its
change process to avoid negatively impact people within the business environment.
The SSW is already including different people because of its effective brand value, in
which when it will implement change within its existing business environment, then this change
step of company also will definably influence people within market. Currently people in the
really like to purchase beef from SSW. In this situation, when company will provide more
developed and improved beef quality to different people or customers in the market, then they
fully give high priority to only this brand for purchasing beef (Shatnawi & Al-Essa, 2017). On
the other side, top-level management of company has decided to change its existing
manufacturing technology with modern and latest technology. In this situation, the management
of SSW can’t implement this change without involving people within change processes.
Reflection

There is human refers different stakeholders of the company, like; employees, customers,
investors etc. in which company change its existing manufacturing technology, then action of
company will definitely influence its different stakeholders. Suppose the SSW highly need to
involve their employees within change process, because employees will play great role in
implementing change according to upper management’s instructions. This is the main reason
that, the management should consider human aspects of change in its daily business operations.
Question 3: Social changes
Currently people are facing different social changes. Nationally and internationally,
social environment is continuously changing. Day by day many new trends are coming in the
national or international market which highly influences existing people and society (Ardeshiri
Sampson & Swait, 2019). These changes are effecting SSW’s business environment as well. For
example; currently many internationally and national vegan communities are protesting against
businesses or companies who sells non-veg food in the market including beef. In many countries
beef is complemented banned as well. On the other side, many times these vegan communities
run different campaigns also where they aware people about ‘eating non-veg’ is not good thing
for a human being. These all actions and steps of vegan communities influences many people in
the society to avoid taking beef as a food. Basically, such changes are not much favourable for
the SSW, because these changes of society can decrease the profit ratio of this company.
Currently top-level management should expand its business operations by entering in such
market segments where people are really like to buy or consume beef in high quantity.
Otherwise, SSW can’t easily grow its existing business operations.
There are many social challenges existing which negatively influencing all over growth
of the SSW beef company. For example; many people within New Zealand are not like buying
beef to eat. In some selected areas of New Zealand, beef is completely banned. Many
organisations which works for animal protection are also highly challenging for existing beef
company, because these organisations mainly promote vegan style in the national and
international market (Elliott & Wakelin, 2016). In this situation, top-level management of SSW
need to develop some productive business strategies to properly deal with these different
challenging factors.
Reflection

There are social changes day by day comes in the national and international market, in
which these changes are highly affecting different people and businesses within the New
Zealand. In this situation, top-level management of SSW need to always make a pre-plan for
systematically dealing within impact of such social changes. Nowadays many people are
avoiding eat beef in the society, in which this social factor can negatively influence business
environment of SSW, because if people not buy beef product, then its business can’t earn huge
profit in different market segment.
Question 4: Project management tools
Currently various project management tools are available in the market which will
support to the SSW for perfectly dealing with those challenge which has mentioned above. Due
to social changes, currently this company face different challenges in its business operation
(Farmer & Farrell, 2018). For example; some organisations which works in animal welfare are
highly creating a challenging environment for the SSW, because these organisations always try
to influence different people within society to never eat non-veg including beef. In this situation,
this social factors are badly affecting profit ratio of the company. For systematically dealing with
challenges, existing beef company should run various projects within its business environment.
For example; SSW can run project which has based on social media promotion, because this
company will be able to highly influence customers in the market by conducting this project. On
the other side various project productive project management tools are also available to the
company for making its project work succeeded.
There are Gantt chart, PERT chart, Risk indicator, Time management tool, KIP (key
performance indicator) etc. some major project management tools which will support to this
company for maintaining its project on progressive path. Top-level management of company at
SSW should take huge advantages through these all project management tools. Without
employing these tools own project works, company can’t properly deal with different challenge
which has based on social change (Jackson Inderberg & Bailey, 2019). Currently effective
promotion is very necessary for this beef company for maintaining its existing higher position in
the New Zealand’s beef industry. That’s why the management of company has highly required to
consider these all factors while business planning, because this is the only way to the SSW for
properly dealing with various challenges and problems.

Reflection
There were a lot of challenges which I faced during the report submission but there were
a lot of learns as well in this project for the industry which I had selected. The learning I got
from doing this project is that there was a proper sharing of information which everyone
collected for the topic had to be put out so that everyone could work together and makes the
results of the project even more effective. What I found interesting is the trust and faith which
was present in the team members and everyone did their jobs on time. The right job was given to
the right person who would do the work effectively and knew how to represent there topic
powerfully.
There were a lot of difficulties which I faced in the industry is to collect the data because
there was not much data on the topic on the internet and I had to use primary and secondary data
which made it even more difficult for me to collect the data. There were a lot of conflicts which
rose in the group which took a lot of time to come to a conclusion because this was a very
debatable topic we had selected. We did find a lot of tension in the completion of the project
which made the effectiveness of the group fall and the result was not up to the satisfaction of the
group.
According to the projects outlook I did not do my best in this project which is a great
drawback for me. I would like to number myself four out of five because of the
miscommunication we faced as a team and also because time management was not done

properly. To complete a project it is very important to have proper time management in the
processing so that there is a better result all together.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded that currently SSW (Southern Station Wagyu) is highly influencing
the beef industry of New Zealand. Reason is, SSW is one of the finest beef producers in the
country, in which other businesses within existing beef industry also get influenced for
producing the finest and quality beef by seeing beef equality of SSW. On other side, the
managing of company should highly consider human aspect while implementing change. It is
responsible to create some productive strategies also for systematically solving various
challenges, difficulties and problems which raises through social changes.
