The present case study is aiming at identifying the
expansion opportunities of Spanish wines in the
market of Columbia as the business entity was
willing to enter into the Columbian market. The
major problem associated with the case is of
identifying the opportunities and the entry mode
that will be suitable for the business to enter in the
Columbian Market. To research outcomes of the
investigation various business and management
model have been used so as to investigate the
research problem in the most optimal manner. The
research methods used for the present
investigation were helpful for me to investigate into
the case and finding out the solution of the
problems. With the help of research methods used
in the study I have gained sufficient knowledge in
respect with the case and alternative solution. To
find out the feasibility of case and the problem of
Spanish wine I have applied various models
including Heckscher- ohlin model, icardian model of
international trade, Greet Hofsteid model etc. The
investigation aimed at conducting a in-depth
analysis into the problem of case and finding out
the alternative solutions. In addition such models
have been applied that makes possible to know the

I have applied many theories/literature sources
/evidence. So as to complete the present
investigation I have gone through range of

current investigation. However, the requirement

chapter have been considered. It was witnessed
that the present case is all about Spanish wine, the
company which is aiming to enter in the market of

and the information about the use of various model
in respect with the present case is mentioned. I
have conducted a research into the models and
identifying their applicability to the present
research case. From the literature review specially
case it has been witnessed that the company is
operating efficiently in the market of US and the

major reason for firm to grab large number of
opportunities present in the market. The major
issuer of present case is that the company is willing
to enter in the market of Colombian and the
chosen market entry mode. The case given as the
supportive material was the base of entire study
that has helped me in identifying the problem that

study case brief and to present the problem of the
case , I have gone through various secondary
sources such as books journals and online articles.
The major sources were online traditional media
articles, online as well as physical library. To respect
the application of various theories I have applied
the model that are linked to marketing ,
organizational structure, Strategic management and
international business. The application of STP
model has helped company is identifying the
segmentation, targeting and positioning strategies
of company in the Colombian market. The
application of Richardian model of international
trade assumed that all the factors are same across

competitive advantage. PEST analysis is the model
that can be applied to Spanish vines for assessing

level has been enhanced as various areas were
undertaken in the present study which has
supported in improving my knowledge. Further, it
was beneficial for me to gain knowledge regarding
the Columbian market and I gained information
regarding the company like Spanish vines. Further,
from undertaking this project I obtained knowledge
regarding the research methodological tools which
were considered for carrying out this study in
appropriate manner. Further, it became possible
for me to focus on the overall aims and objectives
being set for the study. I have gained knowledge
regarding the market of Columbia and what is the
range of factors which any business considers while
taking expansion decision. Apart from this,
company like Spanish vines carries out operations
on larger basis due to which company has to
analyze the entire market so as to know the range
of opportunities along with challenges present in
the market. Before undertaking this study I was
totally unaware about the tools and techniques
employed for analyzing any particular base but the
case associated with Spanish vines has provided me
a base to conduct studies in appropriate manner.
Moreover, I am totally aware about the Columbian
market and what are the opportunities present

After undertaking the MBA programme I was able
to acquire knowledge linked with different areas
along with skills. Further, obtaining master degree
was beneficial for me I was able to work on the
areas where improvement is needed. In short
without MBA degree it was not possible for me to
undertake different studies. I have obtained
different type of learning in different areas such as
marketing, finance etc and same has been applied
in undertaking different studies. Further, I have
applied different models associated with the field of
marketing, strategic management etc and learning
for the same has been obtained through MBA
degree. In short, it has enhanced my confidence
level and I can easily work on different studies in
appropriate manner. Undertaking the MBA degree
has enhanced my skills which are time
management, stress management, decision making
etc. All these skills can be easily applied on the
studies and it has enhanced efficiency of the
research in most effective manner.

experience as different theories along with models

aim and objective of the study. My knowledge level
has been enhanced along with skills where were
required in conducting research. Further, it became
possible for me to understand the concept of
expansion where company has to consider large
number of factors at the time of carrying out
operations in the new market. The models applied
linked with marketing has supported me in knowing
how significance is promotion and advertising for a
particular business and by undertaking the concept

Before undertaking this research I was having no
knowledge linked with the wine industry but
through this research I gained full knowledge
regarding wine industry along with Columbian
market also. By applying different concepts along
with ideas it was possible for me to reach towards a
valid conclusion. It was possible to accomplish the

this enhanced the reliability of the entire research.
In short without critical thinking it is not at all
possible to focus on the key areas of the research.
Applicability of theory, viewpoint has enhanced my

As , I have earlier said that the present investigation
has helped me a lot in increasing my knowledge in
respect with different kind of marketing
international business, and strategic models. With
the help of my existing and acquired knowledge
during the project I was able to compete the
present research in the most fruitful manner.
However, there were various problem that I have
faced during the preset investigation. The problem
can be said to be the limitations of the present
investigation as well as the barriers that have
affected the study in a significant manner. The
foremost barrier associated with the present study
is the limited availability of time duration to
complete the entire report. It can be said that the
research was too long and also require a in-depth
study in all manner but I was provided a less time of
finish the study. In other words m, I can say that I
was having very less time to make a in-depth
research into the topic and the was counted as
barrier. This barrier has been overcome through
applying time management strategies and by
completing the study in step by step manner.
Furthermore, I have given sufficient time to each
chapter so as to reach out the specific outcome of
the investigation.
In addition to that, it was problematic to
collect the secondary data for the entire
investigation as I have faced many barriers in
proper assessment of secondary sources. Along
with this the shorter duration for the study has
made barrier in collection of sufficient information.
However, I have put my best efforts in order to
complete this investigation at the time of assessing
information that bis collated from the range of
secondary sources. In this manner I can said that I
have given sufficient time to data collection which
was necessary to collect proper information. The
major barrier is also related to the authenticity and
reliability of the data. I have collected that data
from authentic and reliable sources. Another
barrier was faced during the collection of data over
the application of research methods as well as the
limited access to the secondary sources has
created major issues and obstacles in the process of
collecting information regarding company and the
application of various models. In this manner the
barriers of present investigation includes cost and
time constraints and to overcome such I have used

specific and prominent models and theories.
However , another barrier was faced in the task to
make a clear link between the models and the
problems of case. This investigation was too time
consuming and was needed to conduct a in depth
study and critical thinking. Furthermore, I have
faced barrier for taking permission from authorised
parties to access the information which is also
counted as the barrier of present investigation.

The present investigation has helped me in
acquiring the knowledge that is helpful for me in
my professional development. The present
investigation was linked to the real work scenario
and the completion of this investigation is going to
help me in my professional development. At the
time of conducting the present investigation, I have
accessed the information in respect with the
professional concepts and application research
models that are applied in the real case scenarios. I
have completed mu post graduation in MBA in
marketing field and this investigation has provided
me a chance to apply my concept to the real case
that will surly be a task that enhance my
professional knowledge and has helped in my
professional development. For the completion of
present investigation I have justified my
recommendations that were based on the strategic
models and techniques such as PEST, STP model, 7
P’s of marketing, Greet Hofsteid model, Heckscher-
ohlin model and Richardian model of international
trade. Previously I was aware with such tools but I
have never applied them to the real case and this
investigation has provided me sufficient to apply

Apart from this, the learning acquired with the help
