Task 1
Introduction
Heath and social care services have developed in the recent times at a tremendous rate. The
health and social care sector has developed and incorporates various types of services in its
dimensions. The report will demonstrate an understanding of the concepts and developments the
health and social care sector has undergone in the recent times. The report will also communicate
on the legal, social and cultural factor along with its impact on the health services.
P.1 Analyse concepts of health, disability, illness and behaviour in relation to users of
health and social care services.
The dynamic dimensions of the health and social care have developed and are concerned with
providing various preliminary and ancillary services related to the regular stability health and
check up for the individuals. Disability and illness have impacted and influenced the daily
routines and chores of the immediate family members and the users of HSC. In context to the
society today people are more concerned with providing developed caretaking services for the
individuals (World Health Organization, 2012). The users today comprehend the services as
immediate solutions for the health and social issues and problems. The social care sector
provides with required services and lays focus towards the patient in a more effective manner.
The perceptions have changed from considering health services as urgent requirements to daily
requirements for the users of this sector. People are now more concerned with providing better
services for the users by admitting them to the social care centres and associations. It is believed
that the social care centres provide with an increased level of services that cannot be imparted o
the users at home. These provide with professional to undertake the care and health
responsibilities of the adult users.

P.2 Assess how perceptions of specific needs have changed
The perceptions related to specific needs have changed and have altered in a significant manner.
Today people are in the desire to attain more developed and effective services for the users of
HSC services. As observed in the cases of Dementia and other disabilities suffered by the
individuals the society is more careful and aware of the requirements and needs of the patients.
With the increased level of information and knowledge being circulated in the society, it has
been observed that people are more concerned towards the conditions and symptoms of
Dementia. The society is educated about the difficulties and complexities faced by the patients
which have increased the requirements for special services (World Health Organization, 2012).
Also in addition to this, it has been interpreted that disabilities of the patients have impacted on
the mental conditions which have further amplified the requirements of specific services from
the social care such as home care services, medical services and financial services etc. As
disabilities lead to various other physical and mental disparities in the patients, it is required by
the health and social care sector to provide with basic amenities and services to the users. It has
been observed that the disabilities result in breathing problems, eyesight issues, digestive and
respiratory issues etc. In order to overcome these associated complications and problems in the
adult health, the sector has modified by deploying specific services for specific needs.

in order to provide with the required services. The Health and Social Care Act 2012 had
developed several guidelines and procedures to deploy the services in this sector which has
provided with a base to the services and facilities provided (Schaufeli and Taris, 2014). The
National Health Service Act 2006 provides with the financial systems and services under the
supervision and authority of the government and its subsidiary authorities. The government is
concerned with the monetary functioning and services for the national wide operations.
