Directors and board members have some major roles to play in strategic review. In the
process of strategic review, directors and board members have to review the present and future
opportunities for the companies. In this process, they have the responsibility to determine the
external and internal risk factors of the company. They need to determine on the weaknesses of
the companies. After that, based on this overall review, they need to select the most appropriate
strategic option for the company along with the means to implement them. In this process, they
need to ensure that the organizational structure and capability are appropriate for the
implementation of these strategies (Wheelen and Hunger 2017).
Best practice refers to those specific methods or techniques that have been consistent to
fetch good results for the business organizations. Thus, these practices can be used as benchmark
practices (Rosenthal and Panel 2012).

The pros and cons are discussed below:
Pros: External facilitator can challenge the thinking process of the staffs of Vicsport and this
process can help the staffs to focus on to achieve the organizational objectives. External
