INTRODUCTION
Career research is the vital concept, in which focus is being on giving guidance to an
employee for choosing out right career. This is an essential aspects, in which focus is being given
to developing scope and long term career opportunity for an individual. The aim of this report is
to identify area of employment for graduate in the sports or leisure (Malin and et. al., 2017). It is
one of the fastest growth industry, whose purpose is to give support of sport to play. In this,
person will start its own and self business after being left out an university. By this, I am
expecting to get current knowledge and application of an industry/profession which will be
pursued by me after left out from college. Also, sport and leisure industry is currently a trendy
industry and growth is expected for longer time.
Analysis and application
In this section, not detailed but brief emphasis will be given for doing primary as well as
secondary is being considered to led clear and cut outcomes. After leaving university, if a person
is looking for employment in any sector, first of all he/she is need to be identify appropriate
industry/profession, a person is wishes to pursues and his interest lies in that particular area. As,
recent graduate is most likes to pursue employment in the sports & leisure industry. Hence, first
general trends or concept prevailing within industry and second, an analysis of the expectancy of
either employment and self work (Veal, 2017). For this, primary and secondary research is the
suitable option to ascertain information on what other people thinks about particular
industry/profession and what are their point of view. It is expected to pursues analysis of general
trends that would impact on preferred industry and skills & exposure required to be in that
particular industry. The detailed discussion is as follows:
General trends which will impact on your chosen profession/industry:
In analysis, both primary & secondary research will be undertaken, in which analysis of a
current market of the UK deals in the sport equipment is quite high and transformation of the
industry is giving job opportunities to other person. In sports or leisure, changes such as free and
sports campaign to play any sport and person can earn revenue out of it. In sport sector, graduate
person can pursue his own making of sports tools and equipment which is required to play games
such as cricket, football and tennis etc. (Sahin and et. al., 2015). In the sports & leisure industry,
various firm such as Globe sports and Decathlon has recently entered in UK and they has started

giving opportunity to the youth of this nation to pursues their passion of sports. This is positive
response for graduate people to give them scope for their development and choosing career for
longer career (CAREERS IN SPORTS, 2019). It is necessary for an individual to identify what
level of skills or competencies is being required to pursues employment in the sports or leisure
sector. In the sports & leisure sector, consistency of an individual is required in which focus is
being on their performance and ability to be work in this sector (Wolfson and et. al., 2017). In
this sector, role of globalisation such as entering of the sports firms such as globe sports and
decathlon has comes up with an initiatives in which employment is to be offers to graduate
people along with taking actions to makes out correct decision making.
In context of the primary researcher, information has been acquired from people who are
already working in similar sector and they are doing much far better in their respective task or
goals. There experiences and knowledge has shown that graduate person is need to developing
its own skill and knowledge. Also, while doing their observation of what they are doing, their
own work exposure and data/information related to industry attraction. Along with primary
research, secondary data is collected taking use of an internet, magazine, books and article,
which is reality says sport sector is contributing growth to this nation and also contributes to
GDP of this nation. For interview, executive person of the Globe sport has been interviewed and
discussion has been led on status and condition of this industry. Through positive response of the
person, it is revealed that, sports & leisure industry is doing at its top level.
In the sports & leisure, changes such as use of an excess technology, resource allocation,
role of the human resource which is necessary to built this industry on an optimised stage or
goal. The people with whom, interview has been taken and that executives has share its positive
view or opinion to join this industry which is a good call me (Edwards and Roy, 2017). Sports &
leisure mainly deals with offering sport services such as offering sports running campaign to do
charity work along with welfare work through this initiatives. Using sport & leisure as career is
suitable for those who used to do it as its own passion or interest.
Skills/knowledge and experience required
Skill and knowledge is the vital pre-requisites for every person, whose purpose is to grow
in an own career and choosing the right career to work. This was realised that skill or knowledge
are mainly common for every industry or may be differs at some context. Skill such as related to

such as knowledge of the sport field, tools or techniques used and knowledge of people and
customer's engaged with this (Mattern and et. al., 2015). As this graduation has no expertise into
the field of the sports and thus, craze and passion is present. Graduate is need to be focus on
perfection of an expertises and increase knowledge to work in sector effectively as well as part of
its own career.
Evaluation
As a Graduation, my role is of sport leader in the Globe sport, because of I am passionate
of playing sport such as football, basketball etc. Due to this, passion under me, this has forced to

pursues career into the sports field. This is my choice and majorly it comes out of my own matter
of interest. I very much prefers job role of sport leader's as because of my continuous interest in
sports has been raised with increased in time period. This is an emerging role in sports sector, as
it will helps to empower me to run my own sports campaign. Also, this would be helpful for me
to ensure long term career sustainability or durability.
