Introduction
Sports industry is a wide area in which any activity, experience, or business operation
focused on sports is produced, facilitated, promoted, or organised in the sport industry. In the
report, I will represent the information regarding the sports marketing scope. Sports marketing
managers must have strong beliefs, viewpoints, confidence, communication skills, and the ability
to influence and persuade others (Bartnicki, 2021). I want to pursue a career in this because it
offers so many opportunities for growth and achievement in the coming future. People are more
interested in connecting with humans and learning their requirements about the expectations out
of the work responsibilities they apply to, therefore a large number of recent graduates are
choosing this as a profession. In this report, I will outline and discuss the understanding of the
information, various abilities, and experience required for a new graduate to work in a specific
field that is sports marketing. The report will also provide the plan which will help in make
career decisions in the future. Further, the report will serve as the starting point for self-reflection
and professional action plan for overall development (Brochado and et.al., 2021).

the sports industry has always had a number of appealing characteristics such as its size, broad
and dynamic nature, opportunity for individuals to use their specific sector expertise, and
extensive coverage by business experts. with it, all ticketing, media, and marketing revenues for
major sports are included in the global sports events market. The sports sector is quite
diversified, including any activity that generates revenue from sports, such as television
distribution, fitness, tickets, betting, and advertising, as well as sponsorship and merchandise
(Desbordes, 2019).
General trends which will impact on the chosen profession/industry.
The world of sports is always evolving and with technology rapidly gaining hold, shifting
demographics, and changing consumer preferences, it's critical to adapt to new trends as swiftly
as possible. Clubs, federations, the media, equipment manufacturers, textile firms, sport service
providers, and betting companies are all involved in the sport. In the field of sports industry,

asset in every company, and every company need human resource managers and assistance in
order to perform better. Sport marketing is a career that involves identifying current trends and
ensuring that the appropriate amount of people is placed into the organisation. That is why this
profession is always changing and increasing as new and advanced technology are adopted. The
digital age expects a lot from individuals in charge of marketing in sports organisations. It is
nearly hard for one person to be completely knowledgeable about all aspects of sports marketing.
Trends are explained below in relation to sports industry-
Digitalisation- Technology is another important trend in this field because any
organization's success depends heavily on advanced technologies (Ennis, 2020).
Marketing is another profession that places a high value on advanced technology because
they make the products and services available to the customers in an easier and
convenient manner. The sports industry is also bringing many technological
advancements such as new technological breakthroughs, fluctuating from smart stadiums
with integrated cameras, digital signs, Wi-Fi to wearable technology such as
smartwatches, GPS, and even vibrating yoga trousers that correct the overall positions
and many others.
Globalization- Globalisation is the most significant trend in the above mention
profession and this trend has also provided numerous chances for businesses and brands
to grow their operations while also incorporating people from other countries and areas.
Globalisation has also had an impact on the sports industry professionals, since they now
have to appoint people from other nations as well as manage personnel who have diverse
cultures and speak different languages. In other words, these managers are responsible for
bringing in as many varied staff as possible so that they can handle the organization's
foreign clients. For example, globalization will become increasingly significant because
audiences, fans, leagues and the media from all over the world is linked. Nobody is
restricted as world is at fingertips. At the same time, the world of sports is increasingly
globalising (Dhesi, 2021).
Diversity- Diversity is also another important trend in the marketing industry because
every marketing expert of a company is working hard to expand the number of varied
employees so that the organisation can have a variety of ideas to succeed in the market.

demonstrating various abilities and learning new technologies. Managers must use management
systems in order to analyse purchasers and consumers' most recent behaviours. Knowing how to
use a computer will improve various skills in any job inside the sports business. Some of the key
skills are explained below-
Teamwork skill- The important aspect for marketing professional is the ability to operate
in a team and the professionals should be able to work with all employees and prioritise
each member's job as per their competence.
Communication Skills- Another crucial skill for a marketing professional is the ability
to communicate better with the employees and the customers. It is necessary because it is
a professional's obligation to inform and deal with employees about the organization's
various workings (Filimonova and et.al., 2018).
Evaluation
As a result of the above data, it is being concluded that Sports marketing is a very important
profession in the organisation and I also believe that I have a stronger future in the sports
marketing field since I have excellent advising and communication skills, which allow me to
motivate others. Sports marketing is an interesting and challenging career for me because it deals
with a variety of people in a creative manner (Kaser, and Oelkers, 2021). I also believe that i am
qualified for the position of Sports Marketing Manager because I am capable of managing
various type of people and employees more effectively and efficiently. It is a domain that has
been evolving and growing in recent years. Along with it, it also has a lot of potential because in
sports industry, every company requires Sports Marketing Manager who will be able to handle

the team properly. Because of the emerging trends in the field of sports, I favour this as a
vocation over other domains. Along with it, marketing is a job in which you must demonstrate a
variety of abilities in different situations and being at position of marketing one should
demonstrate the greatest possible skills and knowledge, whether it is about products or analysing
how to sell them (Xiao and et.al., 2019.) The marketing manager is in charge of overseeing all
marketing associates and ensuring that their work is completed, as well as performing with them
if assistance is required. Marketing must also review and decide on the money that is allocated to
the marketing sector.
Conclusion
From the above analysis, it can be said sports marketing is an interesting job and this sector
necessitates a variety of specialised skills and knowledge that are directly related to the
organization's employees. Due to Globalisation and artificial intelligence, it is also claimed, are
the most recent trends in the sports industry as they enable Sports marketing managers to work
more easily and conveniently.
