This SPSS project investigates the relationship between the number of hours students spend on social media and their college GPA. The project is divided into two parts: correlation and prediction analysis. Part A examines the correlation between the two variables using a bivariate correlation test, null and research hypotheses, descriptive statistics, and effect size (Cohen's D). The results indicate a significant negative correlation, suggesting that increased social media usage is associated with a lower GPA. Part B focuses on prediction analysis, using regression analysis to determine if GPA can be predicted based on social media usage. The project includes null and research hypotheses, descriptive statistics, and regression coefficients. The analysis supports the research hypothesis, showing that GPA can be predicted using a regression equation, thus demonstrating a predictive relationship between the two variables.
