EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The report has provided the details about the challenges and technological issues that have
been faced in management of London’s busy Airspace. There are various challenges that has
been determined which has currently faced by SSA ATCS. It has also been analysed that
solutions are also been provided on the problems that has been faced by them. Technological
challenges and air space traffic has started the issue of delay in flight services. This has made
travellers face various problems. It has also been analysed that in order to manage air space
traffic SSA ATCS needs to work with local communities and consumers so that solutions to the
problems can be derived. This will also assist them in controlling and managing the air space
traffic adequately. It has also been analysed that they have also been suggested to enhance and
change the air space design so that operational efficiency can be created and traffic can also be
controlled.
INTRODUCTION
A briefing paper is a summary of facts pertaining to an issue and often includes a suggested
course of action. It can be known as the statement which provides the instructions and
recommendations related to the related problems that has been faced by any organization. The
purpose of the present report is to AAM (Airline & Airport Management) Consultancy is
advising the CEO of SSA ATCS on the challenges and technologies of managing of London's
busy Airspace. It is mainly been done to solve issue relating to UK air traffic control.
APPROACH AND RESULTS
It has been analysed that air traffic issues has been rising in London that has caused severe
problems for the travellers. The major challenge which has been faced includes that because of
the air space traffic there has been huge delays in flights which is causing issues to travellers. It
is also increasing the rate of traffic in air space. There are number of approaches which can be
used by SSA ATCS in managing the traffic. The strategies are been provided by Airline and
airport management authorities (Bhat and et.al., 2019). The other challenge that has been
currently faced is the efficiency of air space in comparison with air craft and also about the
amount of noise which has been created by them that is affecting local communities.
Consumers are expecting from the airport authorities to make effective utilization of fuel
and provide high quality of flight services to them. It has been analysed that SSA ATCS needs to

implement modernise solution for the problems. They have to be engaged in working with both
consumer and local communities so that they can find out ultimate solutions to the issues which
have been faced by them (de Almeida and et.al., 2016). It has also been analysed that SSA ATCS
can make use of en-route services so that the efficiency of flights can be increased and also the
traffic can be controlled in London Airspace.
They have been suggested to make sure that safe, efficient and innovative routes can be
used in order to overcome the issue of traffic which has been currently faced by them. It has also
been analysed that AAM has suggested SSA ATCS in working upon the air space and design and
also making use of high quality safety management tools to make the air space services more
efficient and effective (Graham, 2019). Tower approach and innovative services can also be used
in order to increase the capacity of their air craft’s. Training related to ATCO can also be given
so that the traffic can be controlled by them effectively. It is really essential for SSA ATCS in
overcoming the issue related to delay in flights and providing effective air-line services so that
traveller’s satisfaction can be enhanced. Operational efficiency can be improved by focusing on
the air space design. This will help them in enhancing efficiency of their services and also they
will be able to control the traffic related to air space more effectively.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarised that the airport and airline management has
been engaged in providing suggestions to SSA ATCS so that the issues and challenges related to
airspace can be solved and also the London airspace traffic can be controlled. They have
suggested the authority to work together with local communities and consumers so that ultimate
solutions to the problems can be gained (Arabali and et.al., 2017). This has assisted them in
solving issues related to air space traffic. It has also supported them in solving the problems such
as delay in flight services that has been faced by the consumers. It has also been analysed that
they have also been suggested to enhance and change the air space design so that operational
efficiency can be created and traffic can also be controlled. This has assisted them to keep the
traffic in control on London Airspace.
IMPLICATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
There are various recommendations which have been made to SSA ATCS in order to
airspace traffic and other issues. They must be engaged in making use of performance based
navigation services so that the routes can be explored easily by the air craft’s. It has also been

analysed that SSA ATCS are been recommended to build up flexible resilience system so that
they do not face any amount of risk situations. New communication can assist them in making
aware about the potential amount of risk which can be faced by them in present or also in near
future. They also need to make use of direct routes so that traffic can be controlled and also
environmental benefit can be gained. This will assist them in controlling the air space traffic and
will also help them in managing the airline facilities increasing operational efficiency.
