Part A: Module 2 Discussion Activity
A.1 Schedule management
It is found that the changes within the scope of the project generally help in affecting
the schedule of the project. Due to the changes in the project scope, there will be extension in
the timeline of the project and thus the project can face delays. In order to determine the
slippage in the project schedule and the delays that are faced in the project, it is quite
necessary to calculate the schedule performance index as well as other variances. The
variances which are identified needs to be communicated successfully to the project team
member. In order to communicate the variances of the project schedule to the team member,
it is necessary to arrange a meeting, where proper discussions on the variances are done. In
addition to this, proper ways are elaborated that helps in resolving the issues which occurs
due to extension in the project schedule. Furthermore, it is quite necessary for the
management of the organization to use proper steps for managing the scope of the project
effectively.
Part B- Scope and time management plans
The paper mainly reflects on the organization named “St. Dismas Medical Centre”
which is one of the non-profit hospitals that sees decline in admission. It is found that the
main mission purpose of the entire organization is to properly outpatient as well as inpatient
he injured and catastrophically ill. As the inpatient numbers are decreasing therefore the
organization asked for conducting a research and the results of the research reflects that fewer
number of people only get injured due to the presence of motorcycle helmets as well as safety
belts. While focussing on the future opportunities, it is identified that the organization must
