This job is for the post of the assistance nurse (AIN) which supports the midwifery team
and would require the delivery of general standard patient care of high quality. The company
requires a comprehensive understanding as well as proper willingness for supporting and
promoting the values and missions of the St John of God health care. I am a certified nursing
assistant having an experience of 2.5 years. As far as my experiences are considered, I have
been a support worker in the Baptist care. During this period, I have learnt co-ordination with
the staff members and provided care to the residents at all hours of the day. Thus, I am adept
in hospitality skills and characteristics requiring the respect of patients leading to my
excellence in the field of nursing. Moreover, I have even assisted in rehabilitation exercises as
well as been thorough with my knowledge of basic treatment and medications when required.
According to the criteria outlined by the company, the employed nurse should have the
capabilities of well-developed communication. The employee should be adapt in verbal as
well as writing skills. The ability for working under minimal communication as well as
working with the priorities, meeting them and following instructions is an important
requirement. The Nurse should also seek help for achievement of the identified goals and
demonstrate effective team management. I have worked in fast pace environment, have
handled confidential paperwork and provided effective quality care along with other
registered nurses under minimal supervision. Moreover, I have a record regarding my
reliability and provision of care which is needed for creating rapport with patients’ staff. I am

In addition to the above qualities, I have been competent at observing the behavior of my
patients. Since I have worked as an assistant nurse, I am confident of my interpersonal as well
as communication skills. I am a quick problem solver and thus can solve any discrepancies or
differences caused during the medication process. I am also self-sufficient about my physical
ability of lifting up patients when required and focused to my service. Thus I can align my
qualities with the requirements of the company and thus would consider myself competent
for the given job position.
