INTRODUCTION
ABC company is dealing with the problems of staff demotivation which is leading to
mental illness and absenteeism. Company is trying to overcome these problems through
motivation and improving communication. Communication is a major factor for working culture
in company. Company must have effective communication among employees and employers
which will lead to growth and development in company. Communication in employees is
encouraging and motivating staff of company. Effective communication will decrease the cases
of absenteeism and will improve the mental health of employees.
QUESTIONS
Causes of staff demotivation
ABC company always need motivated and enthusiastic employees which are enjoying
work provided by seniors. Employees have various problems like not satisfied with job, not
flexible working environment. These results in employees absenteeism and poor performance in
work. Company is trying to find causes of employees demotivation.
Low pay is demotivating for employees because if pay scale is not satisfied for
employees they feel demotivated. If employees in ABC company are giving their best in work
than they must be paid as per work efforts and results. Many employees with same job title have
different salaries, salaries fluctuate according to the work and qualifications, but many of them
feel demotivated as per time. Low pay scale result to resignation of employees which results to
fluctuation of employees in the office. Low pay also gives mental stress to employees which
affects the performance of employees. Employees must be provided with other schemes which
motivates employees (Lăzăroiu, 2015).
Strict polices have strict rules which must be followed by employees. Rules are necessary
as well essential but sometimes on occasions rules and policies can be neglected. Office working
culture is affected by the strict policies and as well employees performance. These strict policies
are demotivating employees and it has impact on company performance. The rules and policies
in ABC company results in stress and depression among employees. Employees are not able to
communicate and have small talks regarding their life which also affects employees personal life.
Rules of company must be flexible enough for employees. Employees have enough problems
while working in the company premises. Flexibility of time and working hours is important for
employees to balance working life and personal life.

Disorganization is present in every organization where one employee is overloaded whereas
other one is just doing time pass to complete the office hours. Work must be managed according
to the work pressure and employee performance. One employee in company is encouraged by
the employer but other one is even looked and praised for work done. This mismanagement
causes demotivation among employees of company. Sometimes employers are also not
encouraging the ideas of employees, which leads to absenteeism and some are resigning from the
job. ABC company must praise employees for work allotted to them. Disorganization in the
company must be avoided because it has bad impact on employees which affects the goodwill of
company (Akhmetshin and et.al., 2018).
Communication is major problems in the office premises. Employees are not able to
communicate in the office because of strict rules and discipline in the office. Employees are even
communicating with colleagues and with employers. In company employees are not encouraged
for team work. Lack of communication in ABC company is having impact on the performances
of employees and company. Some employees feel shy in giving presentation among many
employees and also feel shy in communicating with colleagues, these employees need
motivation and friendly culture for communicating in office. Lack of communication in
employees is ruining the image of the company in the eyes of new employees which leads to bad
performance. Miscommunication between employees is affecting the projects of the company.
Company must follow effective communication to avoid miscommunication.
Little work given to employees is also demotivating them. Getting bored while work is
like employers do not believe in employee, and employers are not utilizing the skills of
employees. Lack of motivation and work is demotivating employees in company. Mistakes of
employees in the projects is highlighted by some employees to everyone in the projects which
leads to demotivation. Due to these problems employees are not giving their best and some are
dealing with stress and depression. ABC Company is trying to deal with these problems.
Company must try to overcome this problem for employees motivation in office. Demotivation
in employees is having impact on performance of company as well performance of employees.
Company is trying to organize the management problems and satisfy employees needs regarding
the job security and providing better working culture to all employees. Job security among
employees is major issue for employees, because any employee would not work in the company
without the secured job (Brynza, et.al., 2018).

Strategies to improve staff motivation
ABC company needs to improve communication among staff as well as build motivation
among them. Lack of motivation in staff is affecting the development of the company. Company
must try to overcome the problems. Company is looking into the internal affairs of company
which results in low motivation among employees which gives low performance of employees
and leads to mental illness and absenteeism.
Feedback must be given to employees regarding work done by employees which states
the employee performance and employees are motivated to do better. Employee realizes their
mistakes and try to overcome that mistakes. Employees think that their work is been noticed and
appreciated for better work. Employees will also enjoy the work given to them and give their
best for the company. ABC Company can use software to keep track record of employees to let
employees know their progress, improvement and growth in the company. This strategy will lead
company to overcome the mental stress of employees, like stress, depression and trauma
(Onyeukwu and Ekere 2018).
Improve communication will lead to growth in employees performance and working
culture of company. Communication among employees will improve conversation skills,
employees will learn new things from the other employees. Team projects will improve
communication skills and encourage employees to work. Communication also reduces stress
and depression among employees. Through communication employees know their
responsibilities, and they try to overcome the problems in the team. Communication will
improve the working of the company and relieve employees from work pressure. Improving
communication skills will lead to effective working of the company. Nowadays technology has
been introduced in the field of communication it includes emails and messages.
Open door policy leads to build trust in employees because it consists about asking
questions and inviting ideas from employees. It builds trust and strengthen communication
between employees. Exchange of ideas between employees improve communication between
employees and employers and employees and employees. It will give effective and friendly
working culture to the company. This policy encourages team work and group discussion among
employees and employers. Through the policy employees have build up trust on company and
employees are satisfied with the job (Odukah 2016).

Pay scale and job satisfaction among employees is major factor for motivation among
employees. Proper job satisfaction and job security among employees must be built by
employers. Schemes like provident fund schemes must be given by company which attract
employees. Proper working culture which includes proper time intervals and coffee breaks which
give satisfaction to employees. Through these employees will enjoy the work, and they will
willingly complete the work. Company must provide health schemes and retirement plans to the
employees of better future of the employees. ABC company is providing better pay scale to

Every employee in company have different skills which must be identified by the group
leader and use skills in the projects and make team members learn something innovative. These
skills are sometimes useful for company projects and as well team member. Group leaders must
know each and every members strength and weakness, so employees would try to improve it.
Employers must make use of diversity in employees culture and diverse skills in employees.
Company is trying to overcome the motivation problems through the motivation strategies.
These problems can be dealt through applying these measures and strategies in company.
Employees will be provided with better working conditions and proper working culture, which
will lead to growth and development of the company. Proper pay scale and schemes regarding
the employees attract the employees towards the ABC company. Company must take advantage
of diversity in employees and skills in an individual employee. Effective communication would
encourage employees for working in company (Korlén, and et.al., 2017).

Communication strategies is implemented on ABC company which will improve the
development and progress of company. Feed back to employees will motivate them and ensure
them that their work is been noticed and not been neglected. Proper working culture will
encourage them to give their best. Satisfactory pay scale will improve the working of the
employees. Effective communication will increase the communication skill among employees.
Open door policy will build trust among employees and employers. These all points and
strategies will help the ABC company to improve the motivation techniques in the office. These
all will reduce the mental stress of employees and absenteeism in employees and improve the
performance of employees as well company.
