5BUSINESS FOUNDATIONS
This will be a very good organizational structure for this company as they will be able to
place all the employees under the right kind of departmental head. This will ensure that all the
employees are getting the right kind of support from the right person whenever in need. As per
the opinion of Kumar (2014), it is very essential for the managers to understand the field of
expertise of each employee before assigning them to any particular job post. Internet of Things
or IoT is one of the latest technology and needs many different kinds of expertise starting from
computer handling, data storing, security issues and others. As compared to executing any
business as the sole trader, the working in business partnership could be beneficial from the
mutual support and the companionship (Strese et al. 2016). It would help in developing and
managing the business and sharing all the tasks equally and execute the tasks in a shorter period
of time. Thus the organization has to make sure that they are using functional organization
structure in order to ensure that employees are getting promotion in their respective field of
knowledge. This will ensure the steady growth of each employee and will also help in checking
the rate of employee attrition.

Recruitment process
Advertising sales promotion
Advertisement is one of the most important steps that have to be used by the
company. They have to sell their business idea to their customers and to the employees as
well. This will ensure that people are being able to understand the kind of technology that
the company is about to provide. They have to specify the exact requirements for this job
posting. The company has to make sure that they are recruiting staffs having the right kind
of expertise like a degree in computer science, an advanced degree in data analytics and
business intelligence, AI or artificial intelligence, core programming, and other such
courses. Thus these requirements have to be clearly enlisted in the advisement so that the
right candidates can apply for the job.

Resume screening
The company has to go through the resumes that have been submitted by the
aspiring candidates. This is because different candidates having different kinds of
educational qualification will apply for the job (Derous Ryan and Serlie 2015). It is the duty
of the managers or the HR department to reassess those applications several times in order
to select the right and the fittest candidates for the job post. Proper screening tools have to
be used in order to carry on the process in a fast and error-free manner.
Phone interview
The phone interview is important in order to get some preliminary idea about the
knowledge of the aspiring candidates. The HR managers or the recruiters have to assess the
candidates based on different rounds in order to check their proficiency. The candidates
must be fluent not only in their domain skill but also in the communication process. There
can be some candidates who are poor in communication skill. Thus the company might
need to keep these employees for the next recruitment round. As IoT is new technology,
customers might have several queries about the usage of this product or the methods of
using this application in their smart online apps. Thus the company will have to work with
employees who are competent in handling customers belonging from a multicultural
background.
Face to face interview
The phone interview will help the recruiters in making the list of candidates who
they will be calling for a face to face the final interview round. This will ensure that the
company will now be able to devote their time in selecting the employees who have already
passed through one round of interview that is the phone interview. The company will have
to use the same questions for assessing the candidates in order to assess their capabilities
for the job of using the IoT project. However, they have to make sure that both GD and PI
are being can be conducted. The group discussion or GD session will be helpful in
assessing the team working capability of these candidates. IoT Company will have to make

the employees working several projects thus it is essential for them to check the team
working ability of these employees.
Assessing the needs
It is important for the company to make sure that they understand the skill gaps that
are present within their employees. It must be noted that without knowing the areas of the
problem they will not be able to design the right kind of training activates for helping their
employees. It is evident that fundraising is one of the important activities that the company
has to undertake. Thus they have to make sure that they are appointing candidates having
good sales skills. They will have to use their sales and communication technology to the
investors or the Government agencies to understand their needs.
Set organizational training objectives
The managers and the HR department must make sure that they are setting the right
kind of goals and objectives that the employees have to reach at the end of the training
session. For instance the employees might not be well versed in the AI or the artificial
intelligence concepts right at the beginning of their joining (Chandramohan et al. 2017).
Thus the company will have to set this objective along with the stipulated time
period that might be needed for the completion of the training process. For an instance, the
stipulated time period for developing the domain knowledge of employees in the AI or the
artificial intelligence within a time period of 3months. The needed resources will be an AI
expert, books and other support materials needed for the employees.
Implement training initiatives
The managers have to take proper initiatives in order to encourage the employees
for taking the skill development training. Employees often suffer from the lack of enrolling
themselves in the skill development program after completing their shift timings. This
might make employees feel that they will have to devote extra time and effort even after
doing their scheduled work. However, in order to save employees from de-motivation, the
company managers will have to provide some reward and advantages to the employees.

This will enable the employees to get good motivation for undertaking the training
facilities.
Leadership
As per my understanding, I will be following the transformational leadership style. As
per the opinion of Hoch et al. (2018), transformational leadership style is the best-known style
for being used in the modern market scenario. This leadership style ensures that the employees
are getting a chance of delivering their feedbacks and their ideas about the business decisions
that are being undertaken in the organization. IoT is a modern concept that is gradually moving
towards development. In many parts of the world, this concept is still in its stage of infancy and
thus proper methods have to be used in order to take their business ideas to their customers. The
company has to keep an open and flexible approach that will help the employees to share their
ideas as and when they feel like (Avolio et al. 2016). Company management must abide by the
horizontal communication style that will enable the employees to reach out to them whenever
necessary. Autocratic leadership will be avoided as this is based only on the decisions of the
boss. This is an age-old leadership system that is very rigid in nature. It does not take into
account the opinion of the employees and forcefully imposes the decisions on the employees.
Autocratic work environment does normally have little or no flexibility. Leaders do not
communicate any decision with their employees or accept any kinds of feedback from them.
This will enable the employees to get good motivation for undertaking the training

To ensure that none of the employees are extracting money by cheating any of their
customers
Ethical issues
The threat of Hackers hacking personal data of users-The Company might try to save
their budget by hiring less competent network experts. In the worst cases, the company
might not provide any security to customers.
The threat of virus- Virus attacks might harm the customers due to the negligence of the

Damaged software-Employees might try to sell low quality damaged software in return
for a high price from the customers by cheating them
Need for Risk Management Plan
A risk management plan is to be considered so that the employees can be aware of any
kinds of unforeseen issues arising in the future. Internet of things is making the lives of people
easier but at the same time, it is also having some negative impacts as well. Risk management
helps in boosting up customer satisfaction Improper handling of the application might cause
problems for the user. Thus the employees have to be ready with the resources in order to help
out their customers (Chen et al. 2014). For example, kids might not know how to use the IoT
application via smartphone (Hopkin 2018). As Smart light switches are based on voice
technology to control the application, it might not work properly if the voice is unclear. On the
other hand, as it is a device it will not be able to make out if the comment being spoken by the
user is right or wrong. Thus it can happen that due to negligence any kid presses a wrong
comment and the application goes out of order with loss of data (Sargeant and Jay 2014). In such
a case the company must help the customer with a backup plan and proper method of reinstalling
the application. The risk management plan will help the company in getting a healthier bottom

TQM has to be followed in order to ensure that there is no compromise being done with
the product quality. The company has to follow a continuous improvement strategy in order to
ensure that all the goods and services are being produced by using the recent and upgraded
technology. This will help in achieving maximum customer satisfaction. For instance customers
are always looking for some additional services along with the main product. Thus the company
has to develop themselves continuously in order to satisfy this need. This can be done by
