information and understanding about different terminology which is taught in classroom. In this test teacher can collect information about learner of
student by analyse their knowledge about different formulas of mathematics that is used to measure and record about area. Teacher should observe
students in class as this will help in determine whether student in paying attention is learning or not. If student is not about to understand the concept
or it is difficult for learner to meet with the set objective of lesson then teacher needs to pay special attention to that student and make sure they are
understanding each and every concept very clearly. Communication with student and feedbacks is also an effective way in order to determine if
student meet with the lesson objective or not.
2) Collection of evidence to be able to report progress?
Written test of students is one of the effective way of collecting evidence for developing progress report. In this report complete information about
the understanding of student and their capability will be mention. It is essential for a teacher to develop progress report so that parents or guidance of
student will be able to identify the learning progress of student as well as determine their capabilities. For student of stage 2, teacher can consider
written examination or test for analysing progress. This written test will be done after completion of the lesson and this test will includes question
regarding what is taught in lesson. On the basis of this test marks will be given to individual students on the basis of their correct answers. Marks
obtain by student with correct answer will be recorded and kept as evidence for progress report.
3) Plan for further experience and support?
After written test and development of progress report capability and potential of students will be analysed not the basis of their correct answers.
Students who have successfully clear the written test and obtain passing marks will be transfer for next learning lesson. All those students who are not
able to successfully complete the lesson and achieve objective. Teacher will support and help them in increasing their information or understanding
about the topic. In this teacher needs to identify and analyse the reason of less marks and help student by clearing their doubts and issues. Once
teacher has provided appropriate information and resolve their issues. These students will be given one more chance to clear the written test again and
obtain desired results.

Area – This can be describe a the quantity which is expresses that extent of any two dimensional shape or figure.
Capacity – Capacity refer as the maximum amount that can be contain by any object. This mean the full space of any thing.
Litres – This can be define as the volume of one kilogram of water under standards condition. 1 litre is equal to 1000 cubic centimetres.
Millilitres – This refers to the volume of a unit that is equal to 0.001 litres.
Cubic centimetres – This is define as the volume that is created by a cube which is 1 centi meter on each side.
LESSON LAUNCH
It is very important to start or launch lesson in creative manner in order to influence students as well as build relationship with them. There are different
ways to start a lesson and it is crucial to start lesson in interesting way. Students of stage 2 are of age 3 to 4 which is very young age. It is essential for
teacher to gain their trust as well as make them feel comfortable in class. Lesson of measurement will be stage with the introduction of teacher to their
students. After this learning lesson will start with interesting animated video. This is very effective way for engaging students with class activity and most
of the kids like watching video. In this video basic information about litres, cubic centimetres , length, volume and other aspects of measurement will be
included. It is important that a learning lesson includes 5 E’s which is Engage, Explore, Explain , Elaborate and Evaluate. Video will be very helpful in
engaging students to lesson activities. After videos some images related to measurement tool will be shown to students and this will help in exploring new
things. After this it is responsibility of teacher to explain concept to students and elaborate it in order to better understanding of students. At the end of

First activity of class will be individual activity and each student of class
need will take part in this activity. For conducting this activity Scissors will
be includes. In this teacher will show a pair of scissor to the class and ask
student to tell about the length and weight of the scissor. In this teacher will
ask answer to each and every student of a class one by one. After collecting
all answer teacher will tell the correct answer to student as well as tell them
how to measure length with the help of ruler. Once all student has idea about
how to calculate the length of any object, teacher will ask student to calculate
the length of their mathematics books. Through this activity all students will
have information about calculating length of any object with the support of
rulers.
Types of questions teacher might ask to student during lesson.
What do you understand by the term measurement?
What is your learning from previous lesson in mathematic?
What is length and how to measure it?
What is the size of shown pair of scissor?
Do you know how to calculate length with the help of rulers?
Can you tell, 1 litre is equals to how many cubic centimetres?
What was your learning in class form activities?
Second activity is a group activity and in this group of four students is made
by teacher. Teacher will give each student A4 size sheet and ask them to
draw tree of paper of size 20* 28 cm. In this activity each and every groups
will be able to understand how to measure and record length on paper. This
activity will help student in understanding measurement concept as well as
enhance team working skills at very early age. Each and every member of
group will take part and it is responsibility of teacher to check all students are
equally participating. When all students have measure the length on paper as

well as draw tree then teacher will take sheets from students in order to check
the correct measurement. This sheet will be kept as an evidence of students
learning and their performance. After analysing the measurement capability
of all students teacher will tell student about their measurement results. In
this teacher will identify all those groups of students who are not able to
understand the topic clearly. After this teacher will explain how to correctly
do this task so that all student have better understanding about measurement.
LESSON CONCLUSION
At the end of the lesson it is very important to analyse and evaluate the learning of students. Teacher needs to end class on a positive note by making sure
that all student are happy with learning activity. In the end of measurement teacher will ask students if they have any doubt or problem. Through this all
those students who have any trouble of doubt will be able to ask question to teacher as well as resolve their issues. Teacher can ask about what all new
things student has learned in the class. This will help in creating lively conversation between students and teacher as well as express their views about lesson
and their learning. This will be very helpful for teacher in order to enhance their learning activities.
EXTENSIONS/VARIATIONS
It is crucial for teacher to always be prepare about extensions and variation. Each and every students has different learning capabilities and understanding
power. It must be prepare if lesson is too advance of too easy for students. all those students who will find this lesson session too advance then teacher is
responsible to give more elaborate explanation to student and help them in understanding concept in more simpler manner. If student consider this lesson
too easy them teacher will ask some questions to students which will help in identifying the level of their understating about the topic. when lesson concept
is easy for student teacher can move to major and more complex part of measurement.
