INTRODUCTION
In an organisation structure the most essential factors are required which plays a important
role in business concern in order to enhance the brand value of the company and expand the
business in global countries. It includes various things like motivation, strategy, compensation
and many others (Bianchi and et,. Al.,2019.). This report is based on startbucks which is well
known brand in worldwide as it deals in coffee and cookies and many other products. The
company was founded in 1971 by Gorden bowker and jerry beldwani . its headquarter is in US
Washington. The company serves services in various countries. In this report will cover the
concept of motivation and their theory further it will recommded the best theory which is
suitable motivataional strategy which is effected for business.
TASK
What is motivation ?
It refers to the process that initiates guides and controls goal or oriented behaviours. It
includes emotional , social, and cognitive forces that activates behaviour. It also consider
goals directed actions and success of the business (Rita, Brochado, and Dimova, 2019). The
benefits of this are it improves the efficiency of people as they operate to attain goals as well
as it assist in taking actions. it have two types which are described in below:
1. Intrinsic motivation – this refers to the kind of encourage that comes from inside of the
person by their mindset and behaviour of them. It involves crossword puzzle and issue
resolving task. It is little hard job to perform in the organisation.
2. Extrinsic Motivation – These kind of encouragement comes from the outside of the
individuals it involves rewards, compensation, appraisial, recognition and many more
that is being provided in order to motivate person to improve their ability of performing.
Explain various motivational theories :
A theories can help management units to analyse the best way to attain a business goal or
operations towards a results. Successfully implementation of motivation theory can also
assist managers to supports their workers more efficniently. This helps organisation in
increasing their productivity, which can grow their total profits. The various theories are listed
in below.

1.Incentive theory –
This model suggest people feel motivated by reinforcement,recognitision, incentives
and rewards. It also proposes that people may display some behaviours in regards to
attain goals to achieve a particular action or receive a reward. In below some
illustration of incentives theories are:
Bonus it is a rewards organisagtion can provides to an workers based on their
performance levels on their in time duration (Belo, 2021).
Praise – this is helpful in one in one conditions, like as quarterly workers feedbacks.
The management can parise the man power by providing positive reviews according
to their performance, which may create the relationship with employees and promote
trust.
Opportunity – giving opportunities just as paid training or continuing education
may give your team an incentive to grow their knowledge in a particular feilds and
improved their abilities.
Promotion - This provides an opportunity for career advancement is often one of
the most attractive incentives for single can offer due to it can give an workers
feeling important and growth. It may involve an advance an high designation and
profile , a new job title .
2.Maslow hierarchy level of want theory –
It is a theory of psychological theory that designs the kinds o f needs a person must
meet in order to progress to more difficult wants. It consist a five parts which is
related to the needs of an individuals. Further discuss in below.
Psychological needs – this is first needs of this hierarchy it includes basic needs that
is essentially required in living a life. Just as air, food and many others. These are the
basic needs that is requires to live life happily.
Safety needs this is second level which refers to feel protected. In the workplace
this requires may align with workers feelings secure in the working company and
feeling valued in the operations.
Socialization needs to fulfil the social needs, staff may strive for their co workers
to accept them, seek to create friendship at workplace or job units to feel a sense of

belonging. A workplace may satisfy this wants by making opportunity for staffs to
bonding by having team building activities.
Esteem needs this often reaches this level by having recognition, which can assist
them feel confident in their operations and grow their self esteem. Recognization
their attainments in their operations and giving positive feedbacks are two ways that
can use to aid in creating an workers self recognition (Fallatah and Syed, 2018).
Self actualization - this is last stage where workers may seek to attain hard long
term or personal objectives. It may also feel motivated to finish workplace goals
successfully.
Recommendation :
It is recommended from the study of the motivation theory, that human resource of the
starbucks must utilise the maslow hierarchy in order to motivate their workers as it
implies and understand the need of the individuals and helps the management of fulfil
the wants of workers. It improves the ability of the workers as their needs are satisfied
they give their best in the organisation and increase their stability of working.

From above report it is concluded that the motivation plays a vital role in business as it has a
various theory that helps management in making the operations more effective and progressive.
It improves the capability of the workers that are useful in future and directly hits the
productivity of the organisation, as recommended in above for starbucks human resource tko
