EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hospitality Management is related to the hospitality industries. The task of suck kind of industries is
to satisfy their stakeholders by providing quality services to them. There are various industries
come under this category some are hotels, restaurants, private clubs, tourism, event planning ,etc.
Starwood is one of the famous hotel in UK in present it is facing various issues in the field of
technology, operations, human resource management, etc. These issues are effecting the
performance of the hotel along with its customers. Customers feel like firm is not treating them well
by not fulfilling their needs and wants. Hotel needs to plan appropriate and effective strategies for
overcoming these issues. Various problems from which hotel is suffering ineffective time
management, lack of cooperation and coordination, lack of morale and ethics, healthy and safety
issues, multicultural issues, etc are explained in this study. It also contain effective strategies for
solving these problems and improving the performance and customer satisfaction level of the hotel.
By using them Starwood can improve its market reputation and position.

Theme 3: Identifies the ways or strategies through which enterprise can solve issues
For resolving the technology and operating issues at the workplace, it is essential for
Starwood Hotel to follow the different ways and strategies. The first strategy should be adopted the
solution of PCI (Payment Card Industry) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley). These will simplify users
access rights controls. With the help of this, the hotel will easily import data from the Access
Auditor System and automate the periodic review of user access rights. The following system will
interface with the other systems of Starwood Hotel. The following design will help in fulfil the
demand objectives of the organization. The second strategy is develop flexible workflow rules for
the employees to reduce the operating issues between the workers and hotel management. It will
help in determine the business requirements of Starwood in the present and future time. By using
the web based user interface, the company will easily access the reviews of the customers and it will
reduce the training requirements within the workplace. Another strategy is by giving the proper
education and training to the staff members regarding the use of technology, the issues while using
them can be reduced. By developing the mutual understanding between the employees, the conflicts
can be easily resolved. Along with this, by restructuring the organizational structure, the issues
regarding the use of technology and operating will be solve with the time.
By adopting the various types of technology management systems, the issues within the
working areas of Starwood can be solved. The benefits of using this will be decreased the cost of
operations, create the new market for the new product and services, improve the customer services,
increase the efficiency of the business operations and build the good image in the market place. On
the other hand, by developing the plan for evaluation of the present problem in the Starwood
company, the different options will easily identified which help in selecting the those strategies
which resolve the issues of the company. On the other hand, by reorganizing the objectives and
vision of the firm, the issues at the workplace can be solve in right manner. By designing the
strategy pillars and strategy implementation method, Starwood Hotel will easily get the solutions of
the problems.
