Statement of Intent
The purpose of this paper is to enlighten the readers with the details about my reason for
choosing ‘Master of Information System’ as my career path. Professional degree is crucial for
person nowadays because it helps them to enter in the right professional environment and start
conducting their activities. Without having a professional degree, it becomes difficult for a
person to achieve successful position in the business environment. This report is a statement of
intent that justifies my experience of becoming a part of this course.
For me, business is an environment where trading activities are conducted and income is
produced in the environment. In a business environment, many professional like me get to work
and show their qualities and skills. It is a place where people come together to conduct money
making activities in the environment. A business can be a non-profit organization as well that
works for the betterment of the people. Goods and services are exchanged in business
environment. My reason for choosing ‘Master of Information System’ course is that it will help
me to brighten my skills and capabilities and work in the field of my interest (Avgerou, C., &
Walsham, 2017).
Master of information system course involves the readings of innovation and information
technology, so being a tech savvy person, it course will help me to enhance my skills and
capabilities and work competently. This course will also help me to enter in the professional field
of my interest and outshine my capabilities as well. I believe that Information Technology is the
industry that can never grow downwards, therefore this industry will also provide growth and
opportunities to the people having technical background and IT knowledge. Thus, choosing this
course as my career path will provide me several growth opportunities in professional course of
action (Madon, & Krishna, 2018).
Talking about my experience, it should be noted that before pursuing master’s degree in
information system segment, I obtained a bachelor degree in this course. The knowledge attained
from bachelor degree assists me in successfully understanding the concepts and practically
working on them as well. Also, I have keen interest in studying the information system and its
trends coming in the environment that motivated me to enter in this course. I believe that for me
having interest in information technology was enough to proceed for this course. Apart from

interest, as such I do not have any experience in this field as I have not worked at any place as an
IT professional. Therefore, I do not possess any practical skills in this case that I believe that I
will have it once I complete the course and start working an IT profession in the external
environment (Tondeur, Forkosh-Baruch, Prestridge, Albion, & Edirisinghe, 2016).
Knowledge of this course has prepared me for the best outcomes as it has provided me
diverse knowledge about the course and business dealings in the environment. Experience from
this course has prepared me to effectively apply for and attain the best job in the world as an IT
professional. Further, experience from this course has also helped me to communicate effectively
work in an IT business setup. Ways to handle a business has been taught in this course that will
help me to successfully carry on my professional career without facing any hindrance
(Ndongfack, 2015).
The required outcomes of the course are met with the successful attainment of
knowledge. The deliverables of the course cannot be quantified in any way because the course
has provided me experience and knowledge, however increment in my skills and competencies
can successfully explain that the outcomes of this course have been achieved. Further, it should
be noted, my personal strength have been increased with the experience of this course as it has
helped me to attain several knowledge about the IT sector and the business environment. This
course has also groomed my personalities and gave me more confidence to work as a business
environment in an external international environment (Guevara, Rodriguez, & Dos Santos,
2019).
What can I do to manage and monitor my studies to a successful conclusion is that I can
continue my studies irrespective of the completion of the course because it will help me to be in
touch with what I have learned. Further, I need work practically as well otherwise the theoretical
knowledge will fade away. I have to work on all these things until the time I don’t get a well
reputed job in the IT sector because the best conclusion of this course for me would be getting a
good job (Donelan, 2016).
As I think about the future, I might you apply this studies in later life in my regular
course of action. The reason for studying this course was that I needed to work in the IT sector,
so I might apply the studies of the course in my later life by professional working in IT segment.

All the experience attained from this course will be applied while working as an IT professional
in the environment. Thus, in this way, I will apply the skills attained from this course in my later
life (Macià, & García, 2016).
With regards to this course, the goals that I would like to set for myself are that, initially I
would like to have a stable and well reputable job for myself soon after completing the course.
Secondly, my goal would be to enhance my skills and capabilities and work as a freelancer as
well along with my job. This will help me to earn more income in less time frame. This activities
will also increase my experience as a business professional and will help me to grow in better
ways. Lastly, looking at long term goal, I believe that 5 years from completion of this course I
look at myself as an entrepreneur working in my organization and hiring people under me. Thus,
in this way, I have attained experience from this course and have expected certain future
outcomes after completion of the course.
