STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
I had a great interest in mathematics and numbers during my school life, which is why
I pursued finance in my undergraduate as well my post graduate courses. Moreover, the
finance sector and banking sector is an ever growing area which has also become one of the
reasons for me being interested in the field. While doing my under graduation I also
developed an interest in the field of management, as it is an attractive occupation because it
requires continuous interaction with different kind of people.
After I completed my under graduation, I decided to first complete my post-
graduation in finance and then strive to gain knowledge in the field of management as this
would increase my scope of knowledge and further help me to get more jobs in the future.
My future career goal in to become a high ranking manager in the financial field, which is
why I think completing my MBA would help to ensure my position in the financial
management field and expand the scope of my career. I think this is the perfect time to
acquire an MBA education as I will be able to get more time to get jobs according to my
expertise and skills if I wait two more years and complete my MBA, then pursuing it now. I
have done internships in several financial institutions which have helped to become
acquainted to the management field in the financial aspect, which will also prove to be a
positive aspect for when I start my MBA as I will have both practical and theoretical
knowledge.
MBA would help me to develop my skills across all fields which is required to move
up the ladder in an organisation. Regardless of the organization that I would engage with in
the future, the aptitude and the pressure that I would face during my MBA years would help
me to brace myself for the real life situation after the completion of my course. My Master of
Science in Finance has helped to expose myself to corporate finance, however, MBA from
your highly esteemed and world-class business school like yours would help me to move up
the ladder and achieve my long term career goal. Furthermore, MBA would help me to

enhance my leadership skills and give me the required hands on experience that I would
require in the future if I want to start my own business.
The MBA program structure of your school is perfectly aligned with my educational
requirements as this will help to both expand my knowledge of finance and also learn the new
horizons of the different areas of management. To succeed long term in the financial
management field, I would need to acquire not only financial knowledge but also
management skills, so that I would not lack in any aspect based on my skills and knowledge.
Being able to pursue my MBA from your institution would help me to enhance my analytical
skills and also lay the ground for my future success.
