STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Applying for MSc Accounting and Finance with Placement.
Anglia Ruskin University
I, Emil C Thampi, born on 21/12/1996 in Kerala, India would like to apply for MSc Accounting
and Finance with Placement.
I have completed secondary school education in 2013 with 78% of marks and higher secondary
education in 2015 with 76% of marks. I have completed my undergraduate studies Bcom Travel
& Tourism in first Class with Honors from MG University in 2018 with 5.97 CGPA.
It was my long-term desire to pursue abroad education because of the opportunities it offers in
the terms of quality learning atmosphere and international exposure. Holding a British degree
will set me apart in today’s competitive job market, regardless of the country, not surprisingly,
the UK is a hub for international students being the second most popular study destination for
overseas students, with over a million international students.

Studying Finance can train and prepare for a business career and develops business awareness.
The Finance and accountancy program can help develop my skill and knowledge in finance-
related tasks and activities, specifically the analytical, communication, critique and evaluation
skills that I will need to work in at any international finance area.
To expose myself of how organizations report their financial data as well as learning how to
analyze data and draw conclusions from it and the Anglia Ruskin University provides an
awesome blend of both these subjects with skills in the core areas which I believe is the best for
building my career.
WHY UK
UNITED KINGDOM is a country well known for its standard of living and excellence in
education. It has a progressive education system with state of arts and sports facilities. UK has
been the top priority for me while considering abroad studies due to various reasons. The
qualifications imparted by the educational institutions are accredited with UK approval and they
are very well recognized globally. They provide excellent study opportunities but also support
services for international students. UK Universities are known for their highest standard of
teaching and the practical oriented training. UK education system is abundant. The United
Kingdom education system is one of the most eminent in the world. Many countries in the world
actually adopted the British school system with minor changes. Some of the British universities
are worldwide known for their outstanding quality with particular ones topping the global
rankings. Thousands of students from all over the world study in the UK each year, making
studying in UK the number one choice for international students in Europe and number two in
the world. A world-class education and good future perspective are what the British higher

My father Thampi C M is a Agriculturist and my mother Suja Thampi is a home maker. My
