STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
My primary aim of writing this statement of purpose is to express my interest in pursuing my
second masters in Supply Chain Management from your prominent institution. My underlying
educational experience in MS Industrial Engineering from the Lamar University, USA, has
enabled me to be a specific fit for this prestigious opportunity. During this course program, I got
a chance to be exposed to a wide array of engineering concepts, all of which worked to reinforce
and solidify my intense interest in this field of learning. Getting a chance in your university to
undertake my second masters in Supply Chain Management will not only diversify the
knowledge that I have gained but also provide me with a commendable platform for the
attainment of my future objectives. I managed to graduate with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of
3.20/4.0 from Lamar University and I am eager to work harder and score even higher in my new
course.
Through various internship programs and projects, I have had a chance to put into practice what I
have learnt in class in real-life situation. For example, I have gathered some professional
experience from Pennar Industries Limited, Hyderabad, India for a period of four months.
Ensuring timely dispatch by optimizing time taken to kit and pack products, collating and
creating monthly review MIS report for top management and ensuring smooth running of the
plant were some of my main responsibilities in this Company. I also worked as an intern
Business Analysts in EEZEE SOL, San Ramon, CA (USA) where I was responsible for various
tasks such as collecting and returning work order’s and pipeline maps for digitizing purpose as
well as implementing geotagging software solution for an oil and gas giant in Redding,
California. I generated production MIS reports for Planning, Quality control, and logistics and
they were all received well by these organizations. These professional experiences in different
work environments allowed me to enhance my technical and soft skills necessary in my new
course program and highly looked-for by many potential employers.
I am fully aware of the incomparable reputation of your institution at the global level, and my
discussions with several of your alumni have helped me deepen my enthusiasm to enroll. I
understand that pursuing a course like MS Supply Chain Management calls for a high level of
dedication, intelligence and enormous sacrifice and as such as I feel that I have what it takes to
excel in it. I am confident that I have the most suitable aptitudes and knowledge that a learner
should possess as a prerequisite to success at this level of education. I know that apart from your
exceptional faculty, your institution provides the best engineering facilities in the world and with
this aspect as an incentive; I will strive harder to prove my intellectual competence considered
