This report, based on a research call from the Union of Belgian Banks, investigates the relationship between job characteristics and job satisfaction in the Belgian banking industry. It addresses key methodological aspects, including sample size determination, employing simple random sampling, and utilizing a cross-sectional research design for data analysis. The report also details the procedures for data collection, considering potential challenges like erroneous data, respondent unwillingness, language barriers, and time constraints. Furthermore, it explores the use of secondary data, categorizing and evaluating the reliability of freestanding, government, and professional journal data sources for checking sample representativeness.
