INTRODUCTION
Hospitality industry is a fast growing industry in UK market that is
providing various services and accommodations to lot of people
every day.
The Statutory regulations, legal documentations and safety
measures will be discussed in presentation

STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Various laws and regulation are there in hospitality industry. These
are regulated to prevent bad practices like criminal activities, safety
of peoples and many more.
Business Names Act 1985- A notice with original owner name
must be displayed in hotel so that customers may feel
comfortable with a trust of government legalisation. Additional
partners name with all information should be mentioned if it is
there.

Data Protection Act 1998- This act is made for protection of
personal data of customers. It is the primary duty of hotel
management to maintain the privacy of their customers
Health and Safety at Work Act 1974- This act revels the
hazardous substances that cause harm and illness to their staffs.
Particular clothing must be there that may protect from
chemical substances.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND
ENVIRONMENTAL MEASURES
There are various ways to maintain the safety measures within
hotel premises according to The Occupational Health and Safety
Regulations.
Training of staffs- Staffs of hotel must be trained regarding all
the safety measures. Seminars and meeting should be
conducted time to time so that it works as a reminder to be alert
always.
Inspection of work place- The work place must be inspected
within a fixed time period and if any problem is occurred it
should be repaired in time.

must support the environment measures. Food, water, waste
and energy management should be safe for everyone. Energy
saving and shock protected equipments must be used in hotel.

DOCUMENTATION
Documentation regarding health and safety measures must be

important. The most common harms that are occurred in hotel is
due to chemicals, strains and fire.
Operational control of risk management is documented in a vault or
it may be unloaded to personal website of hotels.
