It has been seen that the STEM-based education is vital and important within all schools
and local community as it tend to teaches children about the core aspects of science, technology,
engineering and mathematical concepts along with having and leading a higher focus on hands-
on learning and real-world applications. Thus, STEM captain and education is important and
vital to develops life-long skills such as curiosity, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity,
communication and collaboration into the students and local community.
I think, I would be a good STEM captain as I am having all the required qualification as
well as the ability to builds connections across the curriculum of the school in order to
effectively giving a firm foundation to support learning. Further, I am self-motivated person
along with being technically astute 17-year-old Sixth Form student who is currently studying A-
level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Thus, I am qualified for the position of the
STEM captain as having knowledge about the Mathematics and science and I am also seeking a
job position in which I can gain, provide and further a range of skills and qualifications in the
work environment. Thus, I seemed to be an appropriate candidate for the seeking a career in
Electrical Engineering for the future and to promote scientific excitement and engagement with
hands-on practical, integrated experiments to support the STEM throughout the school and in
local community also. Along with this, my skill level that comprises of the Critical thinking,
Safety awareness, Friendly, positive attitude, Reliable and trustworthy, Communication,
Decision-making, Analytical, Organisational skills, Multitasking and Dedication is also
supporting and making me a suitable candidate for the job role of STEM captain. Further, I also
acknowledged throughout tenure in secondary school for a range of academic and sport
achievements along with also being extremely passionate about fitness, bodybuilding and health
that also supports my ability to become a good captain. Further, being studying the mathematic
and science I tend to be more passionate about teaching and encouraging the mathematics and
science stream that are important and vital for every child and individual in their day to day life.
Along with this, various effective steps and strategies are also being adopted and
implicated by me to effectively promote and support the STEM within the school that consists of
the creating of the mini-projects as well as incorporate them into wider subjects to uniquely
embedding other subject areas and skills to encourage the interest of students towards STEM.
Further, all the set opportunities would be provided and embedded in real world context in order
to attract the students towards the better underdoing of science and mathematics by the way of

leading real buzz around the school about the importance of STEM. Along with this, as a STEM
captain I would also provide stimulating, exciting activities and workshops together with the
building cooperation and iterative design and cutting-edge workshop which features the latest
manufacturing technologies to encourage a larger number of student towards STEM.
