AI Summary
This report presents a research proposal investigating the perception of senior students regarding the implementation of STEM education. The study employs a deductive research approach, utilizing a quantitative data analysis technique based on a survey strategy. A sample of 154 students from an academic institution was selected using a random sampling technique, and a Likert scale questionnaire was used to gather data. The research utilizes descriptive and inferential statistics, including regression and correlation analyses, to examine the relationship between STEM education and various factors, such as student interest, creativity, and academic performance. The findings suggest a positive correlation between STEM education and students' academic performance, highlighting the importance of STEM education in enhancing learning and teaching opportunities, fostering educational networks, and improving students' abilities and potential.

Running Head: A Research Proposal To Investigate An Educational Issue
Introduction
Educational issue is considered as most crucial prospect that directly contributed to economy.
Academic professional mainly focuses to improve institutional discipline in increasing teaching
as well as learning facility. Based on that, researcher is aimed to discuss the academic
assessment by implementing STEM education for understanding student's perception. STEM
education system leads to enhance the learning activity that is positively reflected to their
student’s performance level.
1. Research question
What is the perception of senior students in implementing STEM education?
2. Research methodology
Research methodology is considered as scientific approach and procedure in interpreting the
gathered information or data sets in empirical and statistical manner (McCusker & Gunaydin,
2015). In this context, there has chosen deductive research approach that helps to align with
implemented question. Moreover, there has also adopted primary quantitative data analysis
technique which is significantly based on survey research strategy. By implementing this
approach, it helps to provide an opportunity to interact with their respondent by which they can
conveniently understand their perception regarding STEM education.
Participants
In order to interpret the collected informational knowledge, researcher has chosen 154 students
of academic institution by initiating random sampling technique. In the opinion of Mackey&
Gass (2015), this type if sampling technique leads to maintain reliability, normality, validity in

effective manner. Moreover, it helps to develop data collection feasibility and procedures of
research.
Instrument
Additionally, researcher is also developed a questionnaire based on Likert scale in which data
sets are ranked upto 5. 1 is indicating strongly agree, 2 is narrating agree, 3 as neutral, lastly 4
and 5 is affiliating disagree and strongly disagree. In order to analyse data sets, there has
implemented SPSS version of 20.
Procedures
Research philosophy
In this context, researcher has implemented positivism research philosophy as it helps to
maintain a positive association among all the variables. Al-Gahtani (2016) has suggested that the
technique assists to obtain a logical, meaningful outcome. It is quite helpful for understanding
the effectiveness of STEM educational technique.
Research design
There has chosen deductive research design for understanding the perception of young student
regarding STEM education. In the opinion of Cherng & Davis (2017), this type of research
method is helped to align with question by exploring implemented hypothesis in empirical
manner.
Ethical consideration
While conducting the research study, researcher is bound to follow ethical principles for
maintaining feasibility of study. Besides that, researcher has also ensured that all the personal
information through survey strategy, is effectively kept in a supreme secrecy. On the other hand,

respondents are free to leave the research phenomenon at any point of time. Moreover, all the
collected informational knowledge is use for only academic purpose.

Descriptive statistics
Gender:
The above table is showing descriptive analysis of gender for analysing the perception of STEM
education. As per this table, it is narrated that value of mean, median and mode is respectively
1.35, 1.00 and 1 for demographic profile of respondent. On other hand, value of Skewness and
kurtosis is found to be 0.632 and -1.622. Strudwick & Taylor (2017) has suggested that, positive
Skewness refer that demographic curve is stretched in rightward direction. On contrary, negative
Skewness leads to maintain a leftward direction demographic curve.

The above table present the descriptive analysis of age group of this demographic profile. Mean,
median and mode for age group is worth about 2.12, 2.00 and 1. In addition, kurtosis and
Skewness is found to be approximately -1.115 and .489. Similarly, it is also affiliated with
positive Skewness that indicates a rightward direction demographic curve. Furthermore, Al-
Gahtani (2016) has stated that positive kurtosis refers that the curve is relatively high peaked in
comparison to normal curve. In other words, negative kurtosis leads to uphold significantly less
peaked demographic curve rather than normal curve.

Income:
Demographic curve for income group is considered to be leftward stretched as well as relatively
less peaked curve that is found from value of kurtosis (-.952) and skewness (-.279). In regards to
that, standard deviation is worth about 0.989 that indicates data points are mostly close to its
mean value. In the opinion of Mackey & Gass (2015), low standard deviation refers that all the
implemented data points are being spread out from its mean value and wider range of the value.

The above table is showcased the descriptive analysis of qualification whereas standard deviation
is narrated to be 1.070 which is quite high. Hence, data points are very close to mean value. In
addition, value for Kurtosis and Skewness is affiliated to be -1.181 and 0.234 that indicates that
demographic curve is relatively less peaked and rightward stretched.

Running Head: A Research Proposal To Investigate An Educational Issue
The above table is showing the regression analysis of simple, emendation of STEM education.
Model summary of this regression analysis has been implemented in between dependent and
independent variable. In order to make is convenient, researcher has chosen creativity of STEM
education and its collaborative nature as dependent variable. Moreover, the relation has shown
by Durbin-Watson that is found to be 0.271. In addition, value for R-squared and Adjusted R-
square is approximately 0.971 and 0.969.
However, by the ANOVA test, it is quite helpful to understand association in between
independent and dependent variable. In regards to that, sigma value is found to be 0.000001
which is lower than 0.05. In accordance to McCusker & Gunaydin (2015), in order to make a
model reliable, accurate and feasible, sigma value must be less than 0.05.
