1SUMMARY OF PRESENTATION ON LEADERSHIP
The presentation is on leadership and understanding the leadership style of a chosen
leader. The leader selected for the purpose of this assignment is Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs is a
well-known leader who had been able to successfully manage companies such as Apple and
Pixar (Jensen et al., 2019). The paper discusses about two main factors that made the leader
successful and those two main factors according to me that has made Steve Jobs successful is
innovation and creativity and his ability to effectively manage people in the organization.
Creativity refers to the ability of a person to think of an unusual idea and innovation on the
other hand refers to the ability of a person to implement new things. Steve jobs was known
for his ability to think innovatively and also to manage his employees effectively (Northouse,
2018). Further the paper also discusses about two ways of measuring the effectiveness of the
chosen leader. The effectiveness if Steve jobs can be understood from the fact that the
products of Apple are considered as one of the most valuable goods and also have got high
sales in the niche market. On the other hand the Steve jobs was also able to retain his
employees by motivating them and continuously challenging them to strive harder for
success. He believed in excellence and therefore shared the same visions with all his
employees. Moreover the paper also discusses about the ways in which Steve Jobs
performance as a leader had contributed to the overall success of the organization.
