The report is a discussion on Steve Jobs, the CEO, chairman and one of the
cofounders of Apple Inc. As a visionary and innovator, the accomplishments of Steve Jobs
are immense. The report aims to portray him as a major influence on technology and also
discusses how his inventions have revolutionized today’s world.
Explanation of how he was a Major Influence on Technology
The innovations of Steve Jobs have irreversibly changed the life of many people in a
positive context. Steve Jobs was a major influence on technology through some of his
remarkable creations1. These creations include:
Innovation of Apple I
Steve Jobs along with co founder Steve Wozniak led to the creation of Apple I in the
year 1976. This was a personal computer with no mouse, keyboard or monitor and sold at
$666.66.
Innovation of Apple II
This was launched in the year 1977 and was an updated and improved version of the
previous model with a new operating system, a keyboard and a mouse.
Innovation of Macintosh
It was also known as Mac and was introduced in the year 1984. This was a giant leap
for personal computing since it introduced the concept of mouse and innovative interface for
graphics.

Steve Jobs retooled a computer graphics company into an animated studio for films
and branded it as Pixar2. The company won around twenty six Academy Awards for some of
the major box office success that it provided.

After being fired from Apple in the year 1985, Steve Jobs launched Next which was a
new firm known for production of computer workstations, power graphics and operating

palms.
Innovation of iPad Tablet

Steve Jobs was considered a genius who was at par with influential inventors like
