INTRODUCTION
Tobacco and Smoking is the bad habit, it is directly affects the health status of the body.
Many people in United Kingdom, are suffering from several problem but, it can saw that the
major problem is mental health related issues. People are filled with anxiety and stress due to this
they started smoking at the particular problematic time but with the respect of time, anxiety and
stress are gone but the particular people who smokes while in problem they can adhere the bad
habit of smoking and causes addiction into the body. With the respect of these issues government
and many communities makes the campaign related stop smoking. One of the famous campaign
in British is 'Stoptober'. This is the campaign which influences the people who smoking a lot. In
this poster, there is discussion about the Stoptober campaign, it's significance, outcomes from
this campaign and also discuss about the changement in individual behaviour and many
more(Abrams, 2022).

Health campaign are generally design for the awareness of the people related to health.
Stoptober was launched in 1st October, 2012 and entered it's eighth year of 2019. It is related to
the stop smoking and aware about the health status. The main objective of it is to motivates the
smokers to make a quit smoking attempts(Aragbuwaand Adejumo, 2021). Basically in this
campaign there is 28 days challenge of quit smoking because the research and survey says that, a
person is quitting smoking for 28 days that can increases the five times chances of quit smoking
permanently.
Since 2012, Stoptober has driven over 2.1 million quit attempts and the campaign aims to
inspire as many smokers as possible to make a quit attempt from 1 October and maintain it for at
least 28 days. In every year campaign, seek to approach and applying affords into the smokers
for stop smoking(Balint, 2018).

In the year of 2012, the English department of health with the input an academic partner
in health designed a campaign called 'Stoptober' rather than focusing on the harms of smoking,

a mass quitting trigger and actively support a social movement around stopping smoking.
Smoking is very harmful for the body, it contains carcinogens that may cause cancer as well as it
directly affects the lungs that can arises many respiratory problem like COPD(Chronic
obstructive pulmonary disorder), asthma, bronchitis and many more.

According to the independent evaluation techniques Stoptober campaign evaluated
the data in first set up of the Stoptober campaign quit attempts are 30,000 that is past year

population are more participated in the stop smoking campaign of Stoptober. It was also seen
that many people are stop smoking in the month of October compared with the other months in
the same year. In the first year of Stoptober campaign or even in 1 months the data is estimated
an additional 3,50,000 quit attempts. They people are influenced by the campaign with the using
of standard calculating, the effective cost of intervention from the smoking that is 2.5% of the

person feels low, headache, stress, anxiety, restlessness, trouble concentrating, appetite and
weight gain, craving and also face many types of problems.

Draw a logic model – In this model in which the individual makes the plan of stop
smoking that can apply with the help of logic model in which the individual is hoping
achieve in the long run and also aims the target what resources will needs to do this(Vieta
and et. al. 2018).
Evaluate the logic model – In the last step, the model is applied to an individual to stop
the smoking, to evaluate and take assessment of the particular individual.
To evaluate the smoking cessation, experts reached consensus on several items. For self-
reports, experts agreed that prolonged abstinence (6 or/and 12 months), point prevalence
abstinence (7 days), continuous abstinence (6 months), and the number of cigarettes smoked (7
days) are important outcome measures(Rahman and Khane, 2021).
CONCLUSION
From the above poster, it emphasizes that some people started smoking because they
have lot of stress and anxiety but after some time anxiety and stress are gone but the particular
people who smokes while in problem they can adhere the bad habit of smoking and causes
addiction into the body. This report also concluded that evaluation of its potential to effect
change on an individual's behaviour and explains finding the data of efficacy into the population
with the help of evaluation.
