Self-Stories:
The assignment will be reflecting different sociological understandings that will be
helping me to understand and withstand certain behavior that takes place within the society.
There are certain factors that are essential to work and are highlighted to understand my
sociological behavior to using certain photographs. The nature and the characteristics of my
feelings, has been reflected in the social and the cultural backgrounds for the various behavioral
changes that occur directly and indirectly.
Part 1: Stories of Self

Pictures represents various ideas and facts that needs to be assessed so that the motive of
portrayal of characters can be successful and the identification of the status and the mode of the
accessing the ideas and generation of feelings, ideas, emotions and notions can be done
successfully. These has helped me to identify and highlight the situation and the status of my life.
My lifestyle is completely based on the portrayal of the notions and the ideas that are reflected in
the pictures that are and shared by me.

The picture that has been taken is a selfie. I am quite fond of my friends and I used to
hang out with them a lot. Therefore I am habituated with their company and also I am quite
comfortable with them as they belong to my same age group and we have quite the same tastes
and also have mostly same interests. Therefore the idea and the factors of my involvement with
them is a viral factors that also helps me to be involved and focus on my studies and also helps to
spend quality time with them, making me happy as well as involving me with their company
that works for me to influences in involvement of various activities as well. I enjoy the company
of my friends a lot. I captured this picture a couple of months ago. My friends have stayed with
in my tough times and also have influenced greatly in life so that I am able to stay happy as well
as perform well. My friends form a very close family to me. I can say that they form a second
family to me apart from my own family. They have stayed by me since childhood.
Figure 1 (b): Vancouver Trip

I have planned my solo trip to Vancouver last year which has been a very memorable trip
to me, as I have been very excited to go to the trip and also make arrangement for it as well. I
arranged the whole trip all by myself and have managed my trip according to my plan. Figure 1
(b), is a selfie that I took when I landed from the fight in the airport at Vancouver. I was very
much excited and happy to arrange a trip all by my own. I couldn’t wait to explore the city and
find places that could impress me, I was amazed when I visited certain places of interest in the
city of Vancouver. There have been a lot of facts and ideas that I collected and appealed to me
while I was travelling to different places at Vancouver. My family wished e good luck along
with my friends who always stayed by my side. I was very much impressed as I encountered the
beautiful scenic beauty at Stanley Park. It is so much beautiful that I got mesmerized with the
overwhelming beauty of it. The Granville Island is a definitely extraordinary island with lots of
beautiful artifacts rich with the cultural stigma of the society. I was really impressed by seeing
the natural beauty and the administration of the island which lead to its maintenance.

I have been very attached with my religion and I am born and brought up in quite a
religious family. Figure 1 (c), depicts my trip to Amritsar, at the Golden Temple, along with my
family. I was accompanied by my mother and elder sister in the trip. This has been a very
important and joyous trip that will remain embedded in my mind for the rest of my life. The trip
was very beautiful and enjoyable as well. I got to learn many new things regarding my religion
and it helped to increase and raise my faith for my religion. The whole ambience was very
peaceful and serene. It is a very sacred place for the people of my religion. The place was filled
up with pilgrims, who have travelled a long to pay homage to our sacred Golden Temple. I have
been very attracted to the place and I wish to visit the place once again if I ever get the chance to
go there. I spent a lovely time with my family and I relished my time there a lot. I got to know so
many people along the whole journey and I enriched myself with the myriad experiences that I
gathered throughout the whole trip.

I have also attended my friend’s wedding abroad. It was a family trip altogether, if I look
at the bigger picture. There have been a lot of people as well as many relatives who were invited
to the wedding. It was wedding of a very close friend of mine. I enjoyed a lot there with my
family and friends altogether. There have been a lot of festivities that were going on along with
the wedding ceremony. I enjoyed a lot with the company of my family and friends as well. Every
ceremony was very enjoyable and memorable as well. There were certain rituals that I noticed
and became aware of. I totally got to know so many things of my culture and also make
arrangements for the bride groom. I was very excited for the wedding.
Analyzing:
The various types of ideas and qualities are portrayed based on the socio cultural
background. There have been a lot of social and cultural structure by which the distinct
sociological terms and the concepts can be discussed and highlighted. My status and the
conditions have been reflected as per the photographs that has been used in the context of the
situation that needs to be identified. The ideas and the methods that can be identified will reflect
mostly on the enhancement of the sociological bonds that I have and also my personal qualities
in that affect my status in the society. I am able to analyze my experiences from my trip and
other events which I attended. The distinct concepts of from Chapter 5 “the nature and the
significance of the self” is a highly innovative and popular approach that has been highlighted in
the chapter. I can relate to Figure 1 (b) for highlighting the ideas and the various concepts that

has been discussed in the chapters. My nature of travelling and getting to know new people can
be identified by the analyzing the images- Figure 1 (a) and Figure 1 (c).
There have been a lot of ideas and situations that needs to be assessed as I have spent my
daily life being involved in certain occasions and festivals. I have successfully been involved in
building up my sociological image the acceptance of the events that are organized. My nature of
being able to hang out with my friends and my family is a very important aspect of my life. All
these can be evaluated as the pictures are studied in an organizd manner. Also my nature of being
humble, gentle and faithful can be recognized from the image- Figure 1 (c) and (d). Finally, this
process of stories, proves that how I am a capable sociological being having normal habits and
how my self relates to the society and how it is linked with culture as well. The scenarios that
have highlighted in the stories have been successfully represented in the pictures and then
highlighted and explained in the form of stories. There are certain times that I have faced while
living abroad and studying which has made me homesick and also have affected my emotional
space. But my friends have never failed to make me feel occupied as well as have successfully
lifted up my spirits to enhance my emotional status and uplift my mood. I have always been very
much involved in maintaining the ideas and holding up my spirits to engage the ideas for that.
Figure 1 (a) refers to my two very close friends who have successfully Thus the factor for the
importance of having a good company, and identifying the status of lifestyle as well as having an
idea regarding my social upbringing and developing ideas regarding my behavioral changes and
adoption of certain natural changes is a vital factor that has been generated due to my
background of friends. My friends have helped me to make me feel occupied and also have
managed bot to make me feel lonely. I have also come across and ideologies the factors that has
been motivating me for bringing and highlighting the ideas for travelling as well. I am personally

a very rapid traveler and also is very much excited always for travelling. The most beautiful and
mind-blowing place that I visited in Vancouver is the Grouse Mountain. The mountain range was
covered with snow and the weather was lovely. I did certain adventure sports which were
available like paragliding and skiing. The view from top of the mountain was mesmerizing and
certainly very overwhelming. After a long trek it was the most beautiful scenery that satisfied all
my exhaustion for the trek. The top view from the mountain served an unmatched panoramic
view all of the city along with the beautiful natural scenic beauty as well. Figure 1 (c) represents
my father and myself to be enjoying in the wedding event. I had an amazing time with my
friends and family. My father was very happy for the wedding. I was very enthusiastic as well. I
enjoyed my friend’s wedding a lot and returned home with a bag full of memories.
