Executive Summary
The purpose of the following report is to determine the changes that are being carried through the
United Kingdom in the present times. The NHS is one of the most important Government
organizations that has taken the initiatives for the change to make the system better. This report
is divided between three sections. These sections are the critical review on the sustainable and
transformation plans on Coventry and Warwickshire. The critical review has been done on the
chosen STP and the Five Year Forward View and Five Year Forward Next Steps by NHS. The
critical review is followed by the two aspects of the STP like stakeholder engagement and patient
service-based view. The recommendations have been made as well on how their services can be
improved. Thus the hospitals under NHS in Coventry and Warwickshire will thrive to work

Introduction
The health system in United Kingdom has been going through several changes of late.
The different organizations in healthcare are arranging for the different systems that will improve
the ways of healthcare systems being provided. The NHS in United Kingdom has addressed
these issues in a way that the patients should be able to get the best treatment facilities and the
best care so they can come around faster. Some of the changes that have been applied in this
context are the Five Year Forward View (2012) and Five Year Forward Next Steps (2017).
These steps are really important for regulatory organizations like NHS to build up the healthcare
policies in a way that they should provide the patients with the best plans (England.nhs.uk 2018).
STPs are generally the five year plans that cover all the aspects of the NHS England. These plans
are based on the geographical places indeed. The different organizations under the NHS and the
different local authorities have also contributed positively in making the entire plans successful.
A. Critical Review
Sustainable Transformation Plans
The integrated care systems will have to be made better in order to provide better medical
facilities to all the needy patients. These plans work as the stepping stones for providing the best
kind of treatment facilities to all the patients (Black 2013).
STP of Coventry and Warwickshire
The main aim of the STP of Coventry is to provide the patients with the best upgraded
clinical services that they can afford financially as well. This is definitely a very good cause for
the people. They are looking forward to develop the Accountable Care System that will be highly

The NHS officials have gone through all the things in the matter and they will likely to lay
the foundation for the entire development of the scenario so they will be able to implement the

involved in this process altogether. Some of the areas in which they will work on in this section
are the Productivity and Efficiency Care, Planned Care that includes the divisions like Maternity,

doctors and nurses should always be recruited in the NHS governed hospitals.
 The governance of the NHS should be made in a way that no problems should be faced
by the patients at the time of their operations (Kongstvedt 2012).
 The clinically sustainable practices should be followed in Coventry and Warwickshire.
The NHS authority should make it sure that the budget funding should be made adequate
