INTRODUCTION
Human resource are the set of people which altogether work for the success of the
organisation. Human resource management is referred to as the practice to effectively manage
the workforce so that better performance is achieved. In order to undergo the effective
management of HRM practice, the HRM has to involve itself in strategic planning which
includes strategic analysis, identification of HR issues, determination and prioritisation of actions
and after all this, a plan is developed (John and Taylor, 2016). The organisation for this report is
Bounce Fitness, a leading fitness centre in Australia. This report shall cover the HRM practices
and its roles and responsibilities, common options for sourcing labours, requirements of strategic
planning and at last the impact of technology on job roles.
TASK 1
1A Practices of Human Resource Management with roles and responsibilities.
Practices of HRM
The HRM performs several practices which are effective for managing the workforce of
the organisation. The Bounce Fitness has an effective HRM which exercises following practices- Recruitment and Selection- This practice involves recruiting the right candidate at right
place so that its skills and knowledge can be utilised effectively. The HRM of Bounce
Fitness involves a process of recruiting and selecting the best candidate out of large
numbers.
Training and development- It involves inculcating new skills or improving existing skills
so that job role can be performed efficiently. It also involves understanding the job
profile. The Bounce Fitness provides sufficient training to all its staff so that they can
perform their roles effectively.
Roles of HRM
The HRM of Bounce Fitness performs following roles which are discussed below- Functional Role- The HRM is entrusted with a role to formulate policies for the
workforce in accordance with the organisational guidelines. It also guide managers in
helping them to ensure their implementation.
Service Role- The HRM performs this role which includes activities like disciplinary
action, payrolls, rewards, etc.

Responsibilities of HRM Resolving conflicts- The HRM has a responsibility of solving the conflicts among the
staff or between employer and employee. The HRM is available to dispose off the
conflict by hearing their issues without biasness.
Rewards and incentives- In order to maintain and increase the efficiency of employees,
HRM motivates the workforce to perform better by rewards and incentives. It also
maintains the healthy environment for working which is a core responsibility of HRM.
1B Outline 5 common options for sourcing labour that the simulated business Bounce
Fitness could use and why they should use them
Trainers- For recruiting trainers, companies can use company website so that
selective applications can be invited. It can benefit the company with recruiting
the best candidate for their services.
Nutritionist- For recruiting nutritionist, company can go for campus recruitment
in the colleges so that best candidate can be selected from the freshers who can
use their skills to provide effective service.
Dietician- For this, company can recruit through to social media which can help
in getting best options for recruiting the candidate for the organisation so that it
can efficiently give best service to its customers.
Contractor- They can be recruited from external recruitment agencies so that an
independent and best contractor can be appointed for its external work like
development or renovation of infrastructure, etc.
Consultant- Advertisement in newspaper or TV can be used in order to recruit
consultants so that a familiar employee can be recruited into the organisation
(Bounce Fitness, 2020).
1C Describe the requirements of a strategic plan.
For the strategic planning of HRM, the following steps are required which includes assess
the capacity required, forecast HR requirement, develop strategies for talent and at last review
and evaluate the result (Santhanam and et. al., 2017). Strategic planning is done for staffing,
developing effective policies, retention, training and development so that workforce can be
managed effectively.

The two job roles for Bounce Fitness are-
HR manager- The technology helps the HR manager in maintaining the database of the
employees so that proper record is maintained. In order to use digital technology for
inviting application like social media, technology helps in recruiting best candidate.
Marketing manager- The technology helps the marketing manager in promoting its
service through digital marketing which involves social media, emails, etc. Market
research can also be conducted through the use of technology (Turulja and Bajgoric,
2018).
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is concluded that HRM plays major role in retaining and
motivating the workforce. It performs functional and service role in order to manage the staff in
the company Bounce Fitness. The company recruit the employee through many modes like on
campus recruitment, social media, external agencies, advertisement in newspaper and also
through employee referral. Further, technology plays a major role in effective functioning of
different job roles in the company like HR manager and Marketing manager.
