1.0 Introduction
The modern technological world requires the companies to implement the modern
technologies constantly and be significantly developed for tackling the issue of increasing
customers. The manual transaction processing system requires significant input in the system
for allowing the transaction in the business. This method of processing the transactions could
be observed as significantly slow and troublesome for the company.
The organisation Rainbow illusion is the 30-store retail chain that is mainly
concentrated in the area of New South Wales as well as Victoria and they trade clothes which
are mainly ready-to-wear for the young females. The unsophisticated cash registers
embedded with the four part sales invoices are used by the organisation for recording the
details of each transaction. This report intends to discuss the present business process of the
Rainbow illusion organisation and analyse the issues that are faced by the organisation. The
identification of strengths are done that are present in the organisation due to the use of the
manual transaction processing system. The issues that are avoided by the organisation due to
the proper use of the manual transaction processing system has been discussed. The
situational pressures that could rise in the organisation due to which, information system
would be required to be implemented has been suggested. The major benefits of using the
distributed computing system over any centralised computing system has been briefed in this
report.

Due the proper management of the manual transaction processing system in the
organisation, the organisation gains several benefits that are proving to be effective for the
growth of the organisation. Some of the strengths of the organisation could be categorised as:

Avoiding issue of corrupt data: With the analysis of the present manual transaction
processing system in the organisation, it could be observed that corrupting the data of the
organisation is significantly difficult and it ensures the availability of data for longer period
of time. With the utilisation of the automatic transaction processing system in the
organisation, there could be the issue where any illegal user has gained the access in the
system and destroyed the integrity of the data. This could mean that the organisation loses
data that has been maintained for significant amount of time.
Mistakes of duplication: As the organisation has been utilising the manual transaction
processing system, the organisation does not face the issue of any kind of duplication errors.
Due to the use of the computerised system in the organisation, there is a significantly high
chance of errors of duplication in the files of the organisation. There could be the major issue
