Introduction
Strategic leadership refers to the potential of manager in an organisation in order to express
the strategies and vision for the organisation. Strategies with regard to leadership are developed
to motivate and persuade employees satisfaction and productivity with the motive of achieving
business goals. This report will outline about strategic leadership plan of Tesco plc, which is a
British multinational retail company operating business in groceries and general. It is the third
largest retailer in the world as measured by its revenue and ninth largest in the world. Tesco has
6,569 shops across the world and serve satisfaction across international boundaries. This report
will include the different characteristics of a good leader which assist in influencing employees.
Further, the assignment will identify strength and weakness of leadership and stakeholder
management with the help of different tools like leadership styles, approach and traits.
Furthermore, report will outline plan for the leadership skills which will aid in directing,
motivating and influencing members of organisation to attain goal in minimum time.
Section 4 Characteristics of good leader
A leader is that person who shows the way and who have the ability to motivate and
influence others also to go on that way by providing clear direction to them. To be a good leader
for the Tesco plc, leaders must have different qualities and characteristics that help them to
become effective leader in the Tesco. These characteristics are:
Honesty and Integrity – Leaders of Tesco Company are honest and have the integrity
quality. They are very honest about their work and this is the real characteristics that make them
successful in their career (Priest and Gass, 2017). Honesty and the integrity both are the important
