Absenteeism is term that called as an employee intentional or habitual absence from work. It
is frequent lack of attendance at work without any valid cause.
Thus, high absenteeism within the enterprise can affect the growth of an enterprise. Herein,
responsibility for managing absenteeism has fallen primarily on immediate supervisors.

Theme 1: Staff absenteeism brings negative impact on productivity
and profitability of the enterprise.
Interpretation: From the above graph it can be
interpreted that 13 out of 20 respondents were in the
favour with the statement that staff absenteeism bring
negative impact on business productivity as well as
profitability. 5 out of 20 were not agree with the
statement and 2 out of 20 were not sure that it will
have an impact on business operations of the
company. Majority of respondents are agree with this
as if staff is absent from work that will affect
productivity of business and provide slow growth in
the future. Due to this there will be impact on
operational cost as for taking new employee training
will be provided to them for doing productive work

Theme 2: Yes, this leads to have ineffective performance on enterprise
Interpretation: It can be concluded from above
chart that 15 out of 20 candidates were said that
absenteeism leads ineffective performance to
enterprise. As employees are absent from work
that affect business operations as well as
performance of employees as they are not regular
in business that impact performance. 3 out of 20
candidates were not agree with statement and 2
out of 20 were not sure about impact of
absenteeism on employee performance. Most of
the candidates are in favour that absenteeism will
impact performance of employees as due to its
regular coming to the company that distract
continuous working and effectiveness in the work.

Theme 3: Illness or injuries to workers are core factors that affects the
workplace productivity
Interpretation: It can be said that 6 out of 20
answered that illness or injuries are the reason for
employee absenteeism, 5 out of 20 were taken into
consideration bullying as the factor of absenteeism,
4 out of 20 answered that low workplace morale is
the reason that affect absence of workers from the
company, lastly, 5 out of 20 were said
disengagement is the reason for this problem at
workplace. Majority of employees were in the
favour that illness is the major reason of this
problem in business so proper precautions will be
taken for them that help in reducing absenteeism of
employees in the future.

Theme 5: Employee absenteeism have major and continuous impact on
performance of the enterprise.
Interpretation: From the above graph it can
be stated that 17 out of 20 replied that
employee morale will be affected through
absenteeism in the company as they are
not able to work properly and that
ultimately affect operations in the future.
2 out of 20 were not agree with the
statement and 1 out of 20 said that it is
not sure about the above statement.
Therefore, from the above data it can be
concluded that majority of employee are
in favour of the statement.

CONCLUSION
As per the above presentation it can be concluded that employee absenteeism is the term
used for employees that remain absent from work or may take leave for particular reason
from the company.
In this study from given topic aims and objectives are being made by the researcher for
fulfilling various aspect of the study. Further, research methodology is being done in which
different techniques and approaches is being used for gaining better results in the future.

RECOMMENDATION
Employee wellness programme should frame to provide proper assistance to employees
and also aids to reducing stress and assist to employees to perform at their best level.
Chosen enterprise should implement rewards that aids to encourage good attendance
practice and this can be motivator as this provide positive feedback and encouragement to
employee with good attendance.
In order to mitigate staff absenteeism the enterprise should from this problem employee
will be motivated for doing work in business that help in bringing more opportunities for
the future. It should also provide reward to employees that are coming regularly and do not
have any unplanned absence from the work.
For controlling absenteeism company should have to be provide support to employees so
that help in reducing this problem in the future.
