Introduction
The organization Pro Go Pty Ltd. has conquered the market by increasing the level of
innovation in their products every year and by incorporating the latest technology in their
cameras to provide the customer with a high standard product. The organization has also
patented the technology used in its products, which offered the organization a unique selling
point. But with the increasing facilities offered by a smartphone, the organization has
identified some issues which will create trouble for the future of the organization.
Aim
The main aim of this paper is to identify the different aspects which may cause
hindrance to the organization’s success in the next five years and also provide effective
solutions to all the issues.
Discussion
The three products or technologies that have immensely affected the business of Pro Go
Pty Ltd are –
Smartphones
Smartphones are considered as a product which is responsible for ending the
business of various products like calculator, mp3 players, video players, and many
others. In the same manner, it is being considered as a better alternative to the stand-
alone camera. The various aspects that are part of the smartphones like
The latest technology software,
The availability of the internet and social media platforms
The compact size (E. Dobbs, 2014).
HD Cameras
The stand-alone camera business is also affected by the HD cameras –

The quality of image offered by the HD camera.
The price of the HD camera is slighter more than the stand-alone camera, but
due to the quality they offer, people will prefer HD cameras over stand-alone
cameras (Beal, 2000).
The different themes offered by the HD cameras.
Editing Applications
The biggest loss to the camera company has been brought by the editing
applications. It is due to the fact that even if the pictures taken through smartphone
cameras are not of great quality, the editing applications available in smartphones,
tablets, and computers can help in transforming the quality of the picture in just a few
minutes (Cadle, Turner & Paul, 2010). Some of the aspects that are affecting the
stand-alone camera business are –
The availability of these applications is mostly free of cost.
It is convenient and accurate.
The various different features accentuate the quality of the pictures which
stand-alone cameras will never be able to provide.
Thus, according to me, the biggest implication on the Pro Go Pty Ltd business is due
to the editing applications, due to their different features and the availability of these services
which is mostly free or is at very cheap prices in comparison to the cost of a stand-alone
camera. Due to these reasons I nominate this option.
Implications on the Finances of the Organization
As the senior finance manager of the organization, it is my duty to analyze the
different implications that can be brought by the different aspects mentioned above,
especially photo editor applications –

Short-term Issues
The organization will experience loss of profits, due to the availability of better
services in the adjacent market at a very cheap cost.
The organization will experience a decrease in the availability of capital, which may
cause hindrance in the other activities of the organization.
Long-term Issues
The organization will not be able to receive a return on investments, due to the
decrease in the customers of the organization.
The organization will lose the majority of its prominent stakeholders, which will
increase the level of uncertainties in the organization (Ramirez, 2017).
