3A: Role play
Scene: The scene is in a workplace. One person plays the team leader and the other person plays
the employee working under him. The team leader is going to tell him team member to do a job.
To finish photocopying all the documents. The employee photocopy the papers, the team leader
comes after a while and asks him to get the last year’s sales report that is another job. However
the team leader tells it in a different tone. The tone manifests annoyance with the employee.
Employee: good morning sir.
Team leader: hello, please photocopy these papers
A few minutes later the team leader approaches the employee again.
Team leader: why are you not getting me the last year’s sales report?
Employee: I thought you asked me to do the photocopy.
Team leader: I do not wish to care what you think and wish to do. I asked you to get me the last
year’s sales report.
The role play is an example of the way team leader is in cooperative and do not follow the
organization’s policies, ethics and objectives. Business ethics are important since it helps
building relationship and maintain the ethical aspects (Theaker, 2017).

3B. Role play
Scene: the scene takes place in a conference room. In this scene a new employee has achieved as
well as has overshoot the target. He has been given the responsibility to lead a conference
meeting. He is stuck in the middle. The team leader continues the conference meeting.
New employee: sir, I have sent you the email the monthly report.
Team leader: Already checked it, I am very impressed. I would like you to give an opportunity of
carrying out today’s conference.
New employee: I am excited and I will give my best.
In the conference room, several other employees and other employees are present.
New employee: it is great day to take the business to great height, let’s begin.
After 2 minutes, the new employee is blank and out of words.
Team leader: so, the new product is specifically like……..thank you everyone.
Team leader to employee: it was a great job done by you. I am happy you have joined our
company.
Through this role play, it is shown that even though the new employee could not handle the
situation the team leader was supportive. He motivated him and this act will bring the best out of
him next time.

Subject: Regarding team and individual performance plan
Dear Sir/John/Jane,
Greetings of the day!
I am writing this letter for the new individual and team performance. It has always been difficult
to institute new policies specifically that involves great commitment. In this letter I would like to
discuss about the policy that would not only increase the efficiency of the team but also bring an
overall growth to the company.
There are two aspects of the policy, firstly the policy is about implementing a formal dress code.
Since there is expansion of the business the customers seems to visit the company more often
than usual. I would like to request you to give a thought about it. A formal dress code will
increase the professionalism as well as professional behavior (Abbott, 2014). The second aspect
of the policy is to provide training after the joining the company. The new employees should be
provided with a ten days training as it will help the employee get accustomed with the company
rules and the work.
The objective of both the aspect is to make the workplace better which would break the
monotonous environment.
Kindly let me know if you require more information on this matter.
Regards,
