From the presentation, the core principles of care has been discussed in detail. It has
been observed that patients need to be given support and appropriate care for their critical
illness. In addition, maximum guidance should be provided to them for them to make a
decision for their condition. The end-of-life care is provided by collaborating with the inter
professional healthcare team to gather the maximum health benefit for the patient. In
addition, it is the responsibility of the health professionals to be aware of the range of options
of treatment possible for the patient for their betterment. Seven core principles of care have
been established which primarily focuses on the role of healthcare professionals which will
help them in establishing a positive health outcome for a critically ill patient and
acknowledging their needs. It is crucial for communicating effectively and understanding the
individual patient needs such that a personalised health care plan could be established.
However, the competency of the staff members in dealing with critically ill patients and
addressing their changing needs is one of the major areas where organizations are laying their
focus. For the increase in competency, one of the core principles involves the usage of
efficient guidance and support in the form of training such that high competency is
recognised. One of the major requirements of the hospital settings to deliver the best care to
the critically ill patients such that a higher satisfaction rate among the patients and their
family members is established. It is after this that theories of social care is discussed in which
transpersonal theory, systems theory, social learning theory among others is present.
Transpersonal theory was originated by Carl Jung and dealt with human development and the
changes that are likely to be observed in the human body after the treatment has been started.
The systems theory helps in gaining a well-defined perspective of behaviour of the individual
in major reform such that a well-defined treatment process could be started for the troubled
individual. Social learning theory helps in effectively establishing and planning the care for

destructive behaviours observed as developed by Albert Bandura. In addition to all these
theories, there is another theory named cognitive learning theory which revolves around
interpretation, and gaining new perspective for the health betterment of the individual is
established by the carers for the patient. The social processes on the users of service is
influenced and could be observed in family, community, peer groups, unemployed
individuals, homeless people and uneducated children. It could be estimated that individuals
who belong to distressed families because of which they lack the comfort and hence, suffer
from depression and anxiety. The community and peer groups has a great influence on the
values and beliefs that are held by the individuals and has an impact on the health of the
individual. There could be a possibility that when an individual is homeless, unemployed and
has no education, there is supposedly likely that the individual may suffer from mental health
issues resulting from sustaining in unhygienic conditions.
