Strategies for CEDP Schools to Improve Attendance and Manage Lateness

This project investigates strategies for Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) schools to improve student attendance and manage lateness in the Mount Druitt area, Australia, focusing on the 'Up N Go Bus Services'. The study employed a qualitative approach, collecting data from students and school administrators across five schools. The research explores the causes of poor attendance and punctuality, including late nights, homework loads, and family responsibilities. The findings highlight the impact of the Up N Go Bus Services on improving attendance and punctuality, and the study suggests that the school start time and student perceptions about school have impact on attendance. The project also examines ethical considerations, data analysis techniques, and the significance of the research in addressing attendance issues. The project's results provide insights into factors influencing student attendance and lateness, and propose potential strategies for schools to improve attendance rates and punctuality.
