ABSTRACT
Listening skills are important in relation to a student so that it an achieve there objectives.
Effective listening skills are important to individual in management of information supplied by
teacher wile perusing and academic or graduation system. In relation to current time
development of effective listening skill is important in relation to individual. This is because, due
to impact of COVID-19, all university is using Zoom class to perform lecture sessions. So it is
mandatory for student to develop listening skills.

INTRODUCTION
Listening skills are important skills of individual which is linked to there performance in
particular course while perusing in school and college. This is because this helps in
understanding information supplied by teacher. In relation to present scenario of COVID-19,
most of the universities are using Zoom application in relation to giving lectures to students. In
relation to this factor, students needs to develop there listening skills. This is helpful to
organisation in development of there skills and ability by effectively understanding information
passed by mentor and teacher. The present report is based on concept where students can develop
strategies related to improvement in their listening abilities. This is also consist information
regarding role of teacher in relation to development of listening abilities in individuals.

Strategies that students can use to improve their listening ability
Effective listening is important skill which has to be develop by individual in relation to
achieving the goal and objectives of academic course in university. This is because it help the
individual in understanding the information passed by teacher and taking corrective action by
understanding the role of information in life. There are different strategy which can be used by
student in relation to development of there listening abilities. Some of these strategy are
mentioned below:
Listen for meaning: It is the best suitable stagy which can be use by the individual
student while working on particular project or listening to teacher. Under this , student has to
make a particular approach where it has to listen all the information supplied by mentor. It is
needed from the side of mentor to identify the information as well as intention and way of
communication use by supplier to identify the information in actual way. Furthermore, it is also
essential to determine central idea behind the message of information passed by teacher. It is the
most important aspect as it helps student in development of perspective in relation to lecture. In
last, for understanding message clearly it is also important that listener pay close attention to
anecdotes, explanations, and other details meant to clarify meaning.
Adjusting notes making styles according to lecture: One more strategy which can b
use by students to improve skills related to listening is making adjustments in their class notes.
This strategy recommends that making effective notes is mandatory to individuals for future

assistance. This is because notes help the students in retaining information for longer period of
time. In relation to this strategy, it is associated with using tools and techniques to keep notes
where it states that students should use short and simple notes as well as adjust them according to
need of lecture. By using effective note making system a student can easily retain and understand
information for longer period of time.
Tackling difficulties to identify materials and data: It is difficult for students to
understand and listen each and every aspect of lecture in whole. Some time due to this problem,
some important words and coding are being omitted by students. This can be because of
confusion in meaning of words or other random error. In relation to solve these issues, student
can use help of various tools and machines like recording the class on zoom and managing data
base to achieve personal objectives.
Concentrate and pay attention: This act as most prominent strategy which can be use
by students in relation to development of skills related to listening. This is because, paying
attention and concentrating on concept will enable student in identification of various aspects
related to information supplied by teacher in lecture. These are helpful to individual in
understanding the information and development of perspective in relation to organisation. In this
case student can also concentrate on it lecture and can use it for longer period of time. For
improving concentration skills, students can use meditation. This is helpful in increasing
concentration as well as attention skills.
It can be evaluated from the above mention information that there are various functions
which are performance student while perusing various courses. It is important for students to
develop there skills and ability to perform better in future and achieve there objective. Effective
listing is one of those skills. This is important form perspective of student where it can use above
mentioned strategy to achieve objectives.
How can teachers help students understand their lectures
Teacher play important role in students life while performing a lecture in organization. It
is important for a teacher to guild and Motivate the individual for development of skills and
abilities. The most important skill which is developed by teacher in life of individual student is
related to listening ability. Teacher or mentor helps the student in learning various aspects which
are helpful to student in being an active listener. In relation to current time, teacher are helping

students in different way to learn new concept by being an effective listener. For this, there is use
of different function which are discussed below:
Activate student prior knowledge: This can be use by teacher in relation to improving
the listening skills of student. For this, teacher has to provide information about the topic which
will be started in future and ask there students to learn about the topic by there self. This is an
useful method because it helps developing a pre concept in mind of student about the topic which
will be started by teacher in future. This will also activate the listening ability of student because
it make the topic interesting to understand because of pre knowledge.
Use questions: This is also an effective way which can be use by teacher in helping
students to develop skills related to listening. This system states that teacher can use questions in
their teaching content. This is helpful to teacher in providing information in most effective way
to students. Using questions is also helpful to students in paying attention to the lecture. In ration
to zoom classes, teacher can use to put questions so that it can Identify the understanding level of
students and can target to increasing their efficiency according to level of questions. This must
also kept in mind by teacher to use effective question which are related to topic in class. Teacher
an also use questions from previous topics. This will help in identification of learning capacity
and level attention in individual mind.
Encourage active learning: This is also a system which can be use by teacher for
improving the level of learning in students. This is because by increasing active learning process,
teacher will get sufficient time to understand the level of students. This will enable teacher to
perform a specific level by achieving there goals and objective related to increasing skills of
effective listening.
Use demonstrations or examples: Using example is also effective technique which can
be use by teacher at the time of teaching and providing information to students. This is also
helpful in improving listening skills of students. This is because it helps them in identification of
content in example and character form where they can understand it in more better way. This
will also create separate image of content in mind of individual.
Recommendations
In relation improvement in listening skills of employees there are some recommendation
to teachers which are mentioned below:

 It is recommanded to teacher that there are various tools in zoom application which can
be use by teacher relation to achieving the goals and objectives student to be an active
listener. These tools are associated with managing quality of meeting, improving surfing
speed, online and offline downloading of class.
 It is also recommanded that teacher can use self amassment notes which are helpful to
teacher in teaching effective content which can be use in future regarding the fancting of
file.
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above mention information that there are various function
which are related to development of skills and ability of individual in organisation. This is
essential for students to develop their skills and abilities in relation to achievement of objectives
whee listening skills are most important part of this. In relation to improvement in listening
skills, it is important for student to follow strategy which are mentioned above. It can also
concluded that teacher also play important role in improving listening skill in students. This is
because they perform various functions and responsibility for development of student.
